Excellent Utensils
I love Humangear products. Their designs are functional and clever. Their materials are excellent and sustainable. I still own and prefer the 2 part design (it came apart) of this product since it stores smaller when camping. I’m betting people kept losing pieces so they created a product that did not come in 2 pieces. Still, this is great for eating rehydrated backpacking meals. I like to use this at home as a small spatula and as a long spoon to make sure I get all the contents out of jars of salsa.
Great long spork for freeze dried meals
Picked up the two pack of these for backpacking so my wife and I would each have one. The main reason I bought them was the length since a lot of freeze dried meal pouches are pretty deep and shorter utensils make it hard to reach the bottom. The length works well for that. It makes it much easier to actually mix and eat meals without getting food all over your hands. The dual sided design is also nice since it works well for both scooping and eating different types of meals. They seem pretty durable so far. After our trip we threw them in the dishwasher and they held up just fine. They also felt comfortable to hold while eating and didn’t feel flimsy. Only minor downside is that since they are long they take up a little more space when packing, but that is kind of the trade off for the reach you get with freeze dried meals. Overall they worked well for backpacking and I would keep bringing them on trips.
