Great fabric and design. Unfortunately, the size guide is incorrect. The XL is described as fitting a 41” waist, but actually only measures 38.5”. The 2.5” discrepancy is a deal killer. Everything else fit perfectly. Sizing up to an XXL would result in too much baggy fabric below the waist. Be aware that the waist band closure is a dot of Velcro. If I kept these shorts modify with a button or snap for more secure closure. For reference: 6’1” and 215#

I wear size 36 shorts your shorts are listed incorrectly. It states large is 38. I bought large and they don't fit.

I used to think of Helly Hansen as the gold standard—cutting-edge tech, serious engineering, and above all, utility you could actually rely on in the elements. So imagine my surprise when these “board shorts” showed up cosplaying as functional gear. Did anyone test these before shipping? The Velcro closure is a single, penny-sized dot - it couldn’t hold my Trapper Keeper together. A nd the belt? Purely decorative. It doesn’t cinch anything; it just exists - it’s an MC-Hammer belt.

Love the pants but the belt is defective, the buckle does not secure the belt and it keeps opening up. Add some teeth to the belt, with a smooth edge it’ll never hold…Will be returning it.
