I was having difficulty finding a pair of goggles that would fit my large asian head until I found these. I wear a large size ski helmet and a size 8 hat. I tried the Smith I/O MAG XL Low Bridge Fit but it feels much smaller than the Squad. I think it is because a cylindrical lens can flex to fit a larger frame but a spherical lens can't. I think the only difference between the regular I/O and the I/O XL is the padding which isn't enough (for me) to provide a good fit. Unfortunately, I have to pass on the spherical lens but it is worth it to have goggles that fit properly.
I am a medium-sized woman and was initially hesitant to get the XL, but the low nose bridge and photochromic lenses are what drew me in. And they were on sale, the price was too good to pass up. I'd looked for reviews and pictures of how these goggles look on others and glad I bought them. It's oversized but not too big on me. Honestly they look really cool as oversized goggles are still a trend.
