Clearly well made and comfortable against the skin. I bought this after using the Smartwool selection tool where I said this would be used casually (not active) in <25 degree F weather. I have the garment on and I'm sitting indoors writing this and the temperature is 67 F and I really can't say I'm all that warm. That makes me wonder just how comfortable I'd be outdoors where the temp is now 37 F and sleeting. Full disclosure: I'm old. Nevertheless I'm glad I bought it.
I have purchased several smartwool shirts and a jacket, and I've been extremely happy with all of them - except that it's been too warm for this to get used. I got to use it on a recent trip to AK, and while it was perfectly warm, it was sized too small to be practical. I envisioned it as a sweater, but I should've known better based on the title.
I've been slowly trading out my quick-dry clothing for wool. It feels better, keeps me smelling better and seems to be more comfortable in either warm or cold weather.
The fit and comfort are great. Using these for cross country ski days as a base layer under my shell jacket. Wicking is perfect and the fabric is soft.
