Great Snowsuit
Great quality, and seems to keep my son warm and dry. We live in Wisconsin and he’s worn it out on some of the coldest days. I purchased an XXS for my average-sized 3.5 year old. It’s a little long now, but I suspect it will probably still fit him until he’s 5 or 6. Overall, very happy with my purchase and would recommend this suit to others.
Dont buy if you need waterproof gear
This suit is not waterproof, it's not even water resistant. My kids are in a school that spends a great deal of time outdoors. We typically purchase our gear through specific outdoor school gear companies like Oaki and Polarn O. Pyret, but we decided to try Columbia this year and were very disappointed. My kids came home soaked every day. We ended up having to purchase a set of gear from Oaki to replace what we got from Columbia. This suit may be suitable for kids that don't spend a lot of time outside, but its certainly not suitable for us.
Terrible customer service
This review is for REI, not the product since I never received it. I ordered this suit on sale for Black Friday, in order to match my other two kids. Ordered on 11/30. On 12/5, my order was cancelled with no offer to help, just a simple email saying they cancelled the order. At this point, Black Friday sales were done and I didn’t have much of an option. On 12/7 I was able to chat with someone and ordered a different size and color. On 12/14 I received an email saying that there was an issue with charging my credit card and to contact them. This was because during the week there was a fraud alert on that card and it was cancelled. I called that day and gave a different credit card to use. On 12/17, I received another email offering no help whatsoever just that my order was cancelled. So I was left empty handed. No apology or anything. REI obviously has an issue with updating their in stock supplies and doesn’t have enough employees to control the demand near Christmas.
