Not durable
I loved the bib but it did not hold up. It didn't even last two seasons before the butt wore thin and started to let water in. It eventually got thin enough to tear and I contacted outdoor research. They said the warranty doesn't cover rips and offered to send a five dollar patch sticker. I expected better longevity in the first place and was incredibly disappointed by their lack of help. I'm genuinely sad because I liked the arcade straps and the bib in general but two seasons at this price is unacceptable so I bought a north face bib.
Pretty Good, maybe not for tall people
These are good bibs for the price, vent/breath well, keep me dry after hours wet snowfall, and have all the basics you'd want at this price point. I purchased a Large based on the size chart and past experience with OR ski pants and running shorts. I'm 6'5" and 197lbs with a slim athletic build and a 35" waist I find that the waist and even the thighs are a bit thin/small for a size that is suppose to fit a 37.5" waist and I have the suspenders let all the way out. Even then when I bend over or if I was to drop into a telemark turn the bibs are tight in the seat and even bind a bit. If OR is going to sell bibs they should include a height range on the size charts. Two other minor areas of improvement is that the lower leg flare is a bit more than needed and I would prefer (and left handed individuals might agree) that the chest pocket zipper be oriented horizontally across the top of the pocket rather than angled on the far right side of the pocket. I find it awkward to have so much of the pocket's interior way over on the left side of the bib and the zipper over on the right side. Also, the color of the blue bibs is much darker than shown in the REI product picture
Great, not durable or the most flattering though
I bought these in October and used them for 21 in resort days, 20 backcountry days, and a few other for misc snow activities. I also wore these in two skimo competitions and they did great. Both splitboarding and skiing. By January they had developed a lot of holes at each leg cuff where the snowboard binding strap sits, and a cut on one thigh that I kinda patched with gear tape (the tape doesn’t stick super well, needs replacing). No clue how they got cut, I don’t throw them around and I don’t wave knife edges over my groin but ok. They also have an unusual amount of flare in the chest, making them not the most flattering or form fitting. That said, they’re awesome at being waterproof, lightweight, have great pockets, the suspenders work well, the zippers have never given me trouble, and the legs + hips fit well. Which is on par with my other OR experiences: great gear, hit or miss fit, not durable.
For 300 bucks, no pockets?
They can't even add cargo pockets? Who skis without needing gear?
Highly recommend. Might need a belt
High quality material, excellent fit and overall high-performance product. I'm 6'3", 205lbs and usually wear 34W x 34L pants. Only issue with the product is that it's a bit loose in the midsection, but it's nothing a belt can't fix! I guess that's why the bib has belt loops...
Awesome function and value
Comfy fit. Good construction. Light and supple feel. Does everything I need it to do.
