Amazing Quality Bag. Looks sturdiness. I use daily for work. I pack a lot os stuff inside and it’s heavy but suck a good versatile and handy bag. I have received many compliments about the bag and the look and workmanship. I love the way my 26 ounce Yeti bottles fit so snug in the stretchable strap area that totally secures the bottle from top to bottom. The compartments and sturdy zippers are awesome I do believe that this will probably be the last backpack I purchase for many many years !!!!!
I absolutely love the style of the bag. Only thing I have an issue with is how narrow it is. I have two of 35L Croosroads bags. And coming from that to a 27L you can tell the difference. I travel for work so my bag is always packed out. Other than that I absolutely love the bag. Built like everything else Yeti makes tough and durable! Big FAN….
Uncomfortable to carry all day. The back panel of the backpack is very rigid and lacks proper cushioning, making it quite uncomfortable when carrying it for extended periods. It puts a lot of pressure on your back, which can be tiring and even painful after a while. I would not recommend it if you plan to carry the suitcase for long distances
Purchased the newly dropped Ranchero 27L to use for my vacation to Wyoming. I really haven’t had a backpack in years but wanted something that was not only versatile for the flight and carry-on needs, but also for skiing and snowmobiling trip. Loved the look and comfortable feel carrying many of my essentials including 2 15” laptops.
I just bought this today. Great quality well made as are most Yeti products. It met my liter size requirements for my traveling needs in conjunction with a 22 inch rollaboard. Perfect I thought until I realized the bags lower bungie type strap was indeed far to low on the bag to support it on the handle on my rollaboard..The yeti bag would tilt way back on top of my case even though there was not much weight in it... sooo that yeti bag strap should have been placed in the middle to support the bag...And of course the water bottle holders don't have enough space to hold a 1.5l or even smaller bottles..... So for me its going back to REI....
Good points - sturdy, sits upright, easy internal and laptop pocket access, good internal pockets, Y-zippers are an amazing idea and provide easy selectable access, east to carry using top handle, quality material - as expected from a Yeti product. Issues include - difficulty in opening top side zippers if using outside pockets for a tripod, using outside pockets awkward/difficult if pack full inside. No strap holders for top load lifters, as they flap around and are irritating, all straps installed incorrectly and strap ends face outwards and catch/scratch. No rain cover - because it just seems to be raining a lot more frequently - would be an easy add.
This backpack is great. Plenty of space to pack for the day or the even the weekend. I use it daily for work, so I have my laptop, chargers, jacket or anything else I'll need for the day in there with plenty of room to spare. It's comfortable to carry, even loaded out, as the straps are nice and padded. I carried a Crossroads 35L backpack before this one, but I prefer the Ranchero because access to the main compartment is easier with the tri-zipper set up. Material is thick and durable, so I think it will be tough to tear or damage the bag. Zippers are easy to use and move well. Overall, I love this backpack.
This backpack is super functional! And where items, and equipment go, is quite intuitive; and built naturally into the design, for ease of use. It’s the “27,” so it’s naturally cavernous! The shell water proof, so I tossed it in the shower! And all of my belonging stayed dry, as the desert. All I had to do was wipe off the bag, and it was “Good to Go!” At the airport, it went through security; without a hitch! And it flew, on the plane, as “Carry-On;” so there was no need to pay extra, for the privilege of having it with me, on board. The “27L Everyday Carry Backpack,” I fully endorse! For travel, and ruggedness, when we went camping, and kayaking in the Mountains of Colorado. Thank you!
Love the look and organization. Straps could be a little wider but are still comfortable to wear. I plan on using as my EDC bag and camping/hiking. I am a fan of the material choice. I had to send mine back and order another one since my had a defect which is just an inconvenience.
I work in an environment where I need to move frequently throughout the day and access my laptop, folders and other items, use them, and then put them back and go to another location. This backpack has great storage all around. The front zipper makes it easy to access the bottom of the main compartment. Since I am in and out of this backpack all day long, I’ve noticed how great the zippers are to use, and how the large pull tabs really help. I also repurposed one of the inside bottle holders to be a pen pouch. It’s comfortable, appears to be exceedingly durable, and looks great.
