YETI  Ranchero Pack - 22 L

Great for traveling with gaming equipment! I was able to fit my console, remote and headphones all in the same bag! Absolutely no’s issue with traveling and it feels secure. Added a paracord handle for extra grip on this bag and my lunch bag (daytrip) to match. Very happy with this purchase and it multi-use options. I also use it for school to carry my laptop books and my yeti bottle also fits inside! Thank you for this awesome product Yeti!

I was curious whether the 22L EDC Backpack would really live up to what I’ve come to expect from YETI. Turns out, it’s the best backpack I’ve ever owned. The thick bottom and stiff back panel let it stand up on its own, and the Y zipper design is the real standout. It makes it incredibly easy to get to things at the bottom of the bag without digging around. The interior organization is thoughtful, the zip pockets are actually useful, and the whole pack feels functional and tough as nails. The 22L is also the smallest size that still includes two separate laptop or tablet sleeves, which was a must for me and probably matters to anyone in a similar boat. Worth every penny.

Bag is awesome for the most part. I'd say this is actually a 4.5/5 review. The only issue is, after one day there is slight abrasion marks near the back panel. It's really frustrating because it's so new, but it doesn't impact the function of the bag.

I first ordered the 27L size and loved it so much, that I bought the 22L. I purchased the 27L originally for my study materials, but after receiving the 22L, I realized this was the perfect size for my study materials. The 27L became my work backpack. The numerous pockets allow me to separate my study supplies into separate areas - which is a huge plus. The front zipper makes it easy to access my text book, notepad, and laptop. I was hesitant to try this bag sight unseen (in person), but I am so glad I did! This bag is perfect for my months long study sessions for my first exam, followed by more months long study sessions for my final exam!

I love the look and materials. I like that it is very open and you can access everything through the large front Zipper or the top. I like the placement of the pockets inside for small items. I like the additional straps to tighten depending on the volume of stuff in the bag, the chest strap and waist strap. I travel a lot and I have all kinds of bags from North Face to Tumi, but thiis is by far my favorite. A bit pricey, but when you depend on your gear to travel, I would say I am pleased! Great job designing so it’s aesthetically pleasing and functional. This is my first Yeti bag, but I am impressed!

Unbelievably heavy and rigid. I don’t understand why anyone would buy it. It’s heavy, thick and stands away from your back like a cardboard box. So amazingly overbuilt. You better be carrying some serious weight or plan on throwing your bag and laptop out of a plane or something.

This bag lacks many simple features that most every other backpack brand has incorporated forever. An example would be a chest strap to keep the shoulder straps from sliding all over. But the yeti doesn’t have that. It’s a very simple backpack considering the cost of it. For the price point you would think it would be super comfortable but it’s not. My osprey and Mammut are much more capable and comfortable. I will say that the material and zippers seem durable but this hasn’t been tested over a long period of time. I don’t think I’ll ever purchase a yeti product of this type again and will just stick with their water bottles. There are far better bags out there for either the same prices or cheaper.

I agree that it is on improvement on the Mystery Ranch UA series & I like the materials they use. However, a few things stood out as a bit of disappointment. Mainly the harness straps. They are just too thin & need to be wider. That would improve their comfort immensely. The padding aspect is decent enough. Also, the back panel is durable but really stiff to the point where I can experience the back digging. This also depends on your torso length. Some have noted the overall stiffness of the material & it does hold its shape well, but that's the trade off with this material it seems.

Absolutely love this backpack! It has replaced my Northface as my EDC. Very convenient entry an holds everything I need.

Strong, light and comfortable. I use it as a day bag while I am on shift at the firehouse.
