I have always had very inexpensive mountain bikes and recently became aware of Gravel Bikes. I wanted something more light weight like a road bike, but also with some ability to trek around on dirt. Viola - the gravel bike. This purchase was my first gravel bike and also my most expensive foray into a bike. After much research and test rides, I settled on the Cannondale Topstone 2 GRX 2x. This bike has been awesome so far and makes me want to go ride everyday. While not a carbon frame, the bike frame still feels very light and I can actually keep up with my boyfriend on his road bike. If you want a gravel bike with very good components, I recommend this Topstone. Also, REI made it super easy to decide as they let you test ride it and then get the bike set up after purchase.
