About the artwork: Icelantic Skis collaborated with Doug Good Feather, a Native American Lakota artist, veteran, author and founder of the Lakota Way Healing Center. A direct descendant of the renowned Chief Sitting Bull, Good Feather's upbringing was deeply rooted in the spiritual practices and Indigenous traditions passed down by his elders. His artistic work is heavily influenced by sacred geometry and the natural world, blending these elements with his cultural heritage to create powerful, evocative pieces. The Lakota Way Healing Center was founded in 2006, after Good Feather got out of the military. The mission is to provide spiritual support to both veterans and civilians, offer suicide prevention programs, and combine traditional Lakota healing with modern therapy to help those facing homelessness, PTSD and mental health challenges.
