When it doesn't have much
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it doesn't have much stuff in it, the front part kinda starts folding in two. I usually carry my laptop charger in the middle section and it constantly bumps into the kickstand part making "bumping" sounds of it doesn't have anything else on top of it to fix it in place. If you have notebooks at the very front section, they upper part will "lean" out, forming a belly like bulgy shape on the front. I would love to have an option to hide/remove hip fixors and the ones on the front when I am not hiking. Otherwise, it is just great. I enjoyed hiking with it very much
Dont trust the description
I already buy 2 times from the website, and all of it must be refund because my 17"" laptop do not fit at your nebula 32 and tropos 32, why the heck the desc on tropos said its fit for 17"" and then when the bag come the tag was only said fit for 16""?
Perfect pack for work/school
I purchased this as a replacement for my work backpack (and for traveling for work, often internationally). This pack works perfectly for me carrying 2 15"" monitors and a spare screen, as well as storage for all the cables, cords, etc in the front pocket. In the middle pocket, I'm able to put a couple of Yeti ramblers and a few changes or workout clothes (shorts, socks, tops). The suspended back is super convenient and the fact that this pack can stand up on it's own when placed on the ground is another great benefit. I highly recommend this pack.
I've enjoyed using this pack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've enjoyed using this pack for work mostly and travel. With minimalistic needs it can supply me with about a week's worth of clothing. In a pinch it is also a great way to have a day pack when I'd left mine behind on a trip. The lack of organization was a concern, but overall hasn't been that big of a deal and it does simplify the overall access to items within it. One thing that can be a bit of a slight annoyance is when overstuffing the main compartment it can limit the ease of access to the front organization area and laptop storage.
Kickstand is amazing
All Osprey bags were wonderful to try on at a local store, but I decided on this one. I ordered this one mostly because the “kickstand” bottom that is like their child carriers; it can be sat on the bottom and it stands upright. This is nice for school and casual uses because it doesn’t need to be leaned against something. I like that it’s also capable of having a camelbak in, but it carries 40oz containers on side pockets easy. The airframe back is nice because it lets you breathe and doesn’t get your back sweaty in the heat. I got this because I didn’t want to buy two bags, so this felt like something I could hike in or go to school in. It would only be more perfect with a built in raincover, but I bought the small one from here. The black is nice, but not completely blacked out as it’s slightly patterned. If they had a nice dark green I would have gone with that. Go try this one on, you will dig it.
So far so good. I
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I work in a hospital full time and am a full time student. I can organize all the gear I need for a normal, hectic day. I love the kick stand feature, as it keeps the bag upright and easy to find my needed gear. I have been an osprey user for all my life and this bag is just another reason to continue to do so.
Very happy with the Tropos
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the Tropos 32, I'm still waiting for that big adventure to put the pack to the test. In the meantime, a trip to the Niagara Falls should be nothing for the unmatched quality of Osprey. Looking forward to provide more input... Adam
Great backpack overall. The zipper
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great backpack overall. The zipper pockets all go down to the bottom of the pack which provides a lot of space. There is a nice felt lined laptop pocket. The airspeed space provides for nice airflow to my back which I greatly appreciate.
Great pack for carrying all
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pack for carrying all of my books, computer and gym stuff to and from campus. Straps and suspension system carry the load well. The kickstand is also a really nice feature that I'm enjoying much more than I thought I would.
Not enough pockets. Check out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not enough pockets. Check out the North Face Surge back pack, Same size as the Osprey pack I bought but not enough pockets for the little things. I do love the frame on the Osprey.
