These socks are quite possibly the most comfortable and warm socks I have ever worn. I wear socks all day long, as we have hardwood floors and these are the first ever pair of socks that felt beyond comfortable upon putting them on my feet! I couldn't believe it. And I have paid top dollar on other brands that claim to be supportive and warm. I already purchased more, as I can't imagine wearing any other brand of socks for support, comfort and warmth. I have tested them out in single digit temperatures in the snow and my feet were toasty, but not sweaty. LOVE them and highly highly recommend.

I now have all three colors. Love the violet color combination. I wear them for casual, work and have shown up in Smartwool pattern socks at social events wearing a coat and tie. I'm in my 70's and no longer feel the need to dress to impress. So, all of my plain dress socks have been moved on. I have severe foot and ankle arthritis, and these socks provide the necessary comfort I need, even the light padding. The padding after the first washing is even softer.

The sock is a bit thin on top of the foot and at the toes. The 'full cushion' really means a nice thickness on the bottom of the sock and a looser thinner knit on top. The top of the foot and the toes are where the foot needs some extra insulation. I've never had the bottom of my foot get cold. This would be a 5 star sock if it had the same construction on top and the bottom of the foot. Turn one of these socks inside out and you'll see what I mean.

These socks are thick and warm. Unlike some other 'warm' socks they aren't loose, but they aren't overly tight around my calves. I have about 30 pairs of smartwool socks and these are by far my favorite winter sock. They are warmer than the 'mountaineer' socks (yes, I know they aren't advertised as the warmest sock). They are pretty thick if you are wearing them in your boot/shoe, but I keep buying them again and again.

I love these thick, warm winter socks! Thank you Smartwool for coming up with a unisex color palette! As a man I've grown tired of the lack of color choices: black or grey, or coyote brown. . . it's tired already. I chose the chalk violet and couldn't be happier. They are thick and warm and will be perfect for the dark, frigid winters here. And now I'll have a splash of color on my feet.

All my Smartwool socks are my go to foot accesories for winter in general and extra cold days in particular. These socks are proving to be extremely satisfying for each situation. They are especially comfortable and warming and are proving to be perfect for the early winter cold snap that we're now experiencing.

I put these on for the first time and noticed there was a hole in the toe seam of one sock, like the stitches weren't finished correctly and the seam was unraveling. I stitched the hole up with a needle and thread, hopefully that will work. Otherwise, I really like these socks.

I LOVED these socks, unfortunately only had the opportunity to wear these once as my best friend thunder paws hamper heister pupperino decided they were a better fit for his teething jaws than my feet.

These socks are the GREATEST ever!! I never want to take them off, they're extremely comfortable and the designs are so fun. If I could I would only wear these. Perfect for winter!
