A warm hug on my feet
I have never had a good pair of winter boots for myself. As a mom of 5 kids, I want to spend more time outdoors. However, I hate being cold. I also have large feet. So I needed something warm and comfortable. These are the WINNERS! Love them so much. I let me mother try them on, she ordered herself a pair the same day. We both have wide size 11 feet which are very hard to shop for. These will forever be my boots!

Not waterproof or warm!
These expensive boots are not at all waterproof and developed cracks in the soles after 1 month, allowing even more water and snow into the boot.

Bogs Fan

I have a pair of Bogs and LOVE them so much that I wanted another pair. The pair I have goes just below the knee and is great for rain, snow, and cold but not so much for ice. That is why I bought this pair. They have a lot of traction and I like the super fuzzy inside. I ordered the same size as the pair I have, but these turned out to be at least a size too small. Unfortunately they were out of the next size up, but I am sure they would have worked. It felt like maybe the size wasn't adjusted for all the fuzzy lining taking up some room. Anyway, I had to return them and am on the lookout for another pair like it in the size I need.

Warm, sturdy, slip on snow boots

Very warm and cozy. I love that I can slip them on and off and I tend to pick those shoes over lace-ups. The whole sizes are frustrating because I'm generally a 9, and since these run large, the 9 is a tad larger than I'd want, but 8.5 isn't an option. My other main complaint is that the laces are for show and don't allow you to make the ankle/calf any tighter. I have very small ankles and calves, so the opening at the top does allow snow to get in if I'm wearing these with leggings. I like that they are very sturdy and provide good support when walking on uneven snowy terrain. Overall they are just great go-to everyday snow boots!

Serious winter boots!

These are some super boots! Get them! I tried several other styles by Columbia, and all had to go back due to inconsistent sizing and general weirdness. Saw these Bogs on sale and thought I’d give them a try. I live in Leadville, way up yonder in the Rockies. The grip on these things makes trekking across the perpetual December to May ice sheet in front of my house a snap! Looking forward to winter walks with these new Bogs. Great arch support and bouncy feel when you walk. Oh, and they’re super cute. I wasn’t sure about the cut-outs, but they’re definitely a nice feature for easy on, off, and transport. A Bogs fan now!

So cool-looking...

I love the style of these boots.... Really well made, quality. I liked the feel when slipping them on and the cozy fuzzy inside. They look heavy, but not too bad. Had a nice solid feel with some flexibility. From the pic, I couldn't tell whether the handles for pulling these on were open or not. They really are. So, if one walks in deep snow, the snow will get inside and make the feet wet. With gaiters one might be fine. I haven't been able to trust any shoes that push my toe up in the way these do. Maybe I'd be fine, but don't want to take the risk. So I took them back.

Excellent! warm and very comfortable.

My wife thinks these are fantastic. Not really sure how warm they are since this was a warm winter in NW Montana this year, so they were never worn with the temp lower than 15 F. My wife said her feet were always plenty warm and that even when we would walk 3-4 miles her feet were also comfortable in the arches and also the toe area. Also, the size was perfect. My wife usually wears a 7 and this was perfect. Plus she thinks they just look really neat!

Didn't know it was possible to love boots

I think this is my first review on REI, but felt compelled because I love these boots so much. As someone who hates shopping for footwear, and generally hates wearing footwear, these are by far the best boots I've ever worn or owned. What isn't clear in the description is that you tie them to the tightness that fits your foot, then you wear them like slide-on boots. Because of that design, they are both snug, and really convenient. Also, from the picture I worried that the upper was cloth and it would be cold - not true, they are very warm and I love the lowers are natural rubber. We got about 6-8 inches of snow the other day, and I noticed that in walking in deep snow, I did get some over the top. Later that day I just put gaiters on, no big deal. All in all, these are the warmest, most comfortable and most convenient boots ever made!

Form over function

I got the black camo. They look great, I get tons of compliments, and they are easy to pull on if I'm wearing leggings or skinny jeans. They do not keep my feet warm at all. At. All. And they're too heavy for tooling around in. I'm an outdoor preschool teacher so I am outside for hours at a time. I cannot use these for school unless I use footwarmers.

Cold soul

I was looking for a warm slip on boot. I realize these are lace up but because they are so wide i am able to pull them on and off easily. I have wide feet. These are perfect. My only real complaint is that the bottom of the boot isnt as warm and fuzzy as the rest. My souls get cold. Otherwise i love them!

Great boot!

Very comfortable boots! They are warm and perfect for what I need. I gave 4 stars only because they aren’t good in deep snow with holes on the side! We got a snowstorm last week and snow got in the boot when I was in 12”+ deep snow. Maybe make some without side holes for those who have to let dogs out after a storm! Love them
