This bike travel case rocks!

If you love your bike and it’s expensive (of course that’s a yes to both) then there isn’t a better way to get your bike to the destination. The integrated stand comes in clutch and the design and ease of transportation are great.

Does a great job

The design and construction of this bike bag is very nice. I just returned from a trip and it protected my bike perfectly both ways. It's very sturdy when all zipped up. I have a large carbon bike and the total weight of the bag and bike was 62.4 pounds, well within the 70 pound limit from the airline. The front wheel made it very easy to navigate while traveling. The bike stand is extremely useful and made the breakdown and reassembling my bike easy. Recommend you get some brake pad spacers to use when the wheel is off the bike. Besides that, rest assure your bike is protected.

Best Bike bag I ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my Thule RoundTrip Bike bag for about a year now and absolutely loving it. I always feared traveling with my bike because I did not want the frame to get damaged. This bike bag really protects your entire bike. I travel stress free knowing its safe. Not only is it well protected but it also has a built in bike rack that makes taking apart and re building your bike ten times easier.

Awesome engineering, but expect oversized weight

This case intrigued me because of the hard sided bottom and the integrated modular stand inside. The stand makes breaking down and building up the bike a breeze (way better than struggling on the floor). I should have realized that all these features come at a price . . . Airline oversized baggage. This beast weighs over 31 lbs, which means you are almost guaranteed to pay more at the counter unless your bike is under 19 lbs. The build quality is solid as is everything with Thule with the exception of the hardside bottom . . . Mine is warped/twisted, and even though this doesn't really effect the performance, it just looks wonky when rolling it through the airport as it leans over

1st Trip. Overall. Excellent / Broken Wheel

Overall, I like the case. It provides good support. The little bike covers they provide are excellent, keeping things organized and with additional protection. I am disappointed that on its first trip from the USA to Europe, the arrived with the wheel broken out of its housing. I was able to roll the case; however, it was difficult. I'm just hoping I can get it home without falling off. Other than the poor wheel construction assembly, it is excellent!

Very Cool Design

The bag is absolutely awesome. So easy to pack and protects everything so nicely. No need for extra material to protect the bike. The reason it’s not 5 stars is because there is no good top handle to pull the bike around the airport and it’s SO HEAVY. It’s almost impossible to get this bag under 70 lbs so it’s very pricey to fly with. So it’s durable and good protection but be prepared for over weight charges.

Best investment

I have been traveling with bikes for more than a decade and have always struggled with bags. The new design makes fitting my MTB or whatever bike I need in it super easy with plenty of space to stash other stuff. The third wheel makes it really great to move around with other baggage in tow and being able to collapse it all for storage is mega helpful with tight spaces. all in all 10/10

Can't Beat It for MTB Travel!

I purchased the RoundTrip MTB Travel Bag for an annual MTB trip, this year to New England. Great included instructions and the included tri-pod stand made the disassembly/reassembly and packing/unpacking process a breeze; especially at the destination, a snowy parking lot. The ability to pack down to 1/4 of the size when not in use is ideal for storage, but was also of huge value when traveling from trail to trail with bikes on a rack. The bag is plenty sturdy and protected my ride during multi-leg air travel. The only 'watch out' is that this protection and robustness comes with some heft. Despite my bike being more on the cross-country weight spectrum than the trail or downhill side, I couldn't get the bag under the 50lbs weight limit, which may mean extra charges on many airlines. Still well worth it to protect your investment, and you may be able to sweet talk your way out of the extra charge if your kind.

Amazing product design!

WOWOWOW, I have used this for several trips and I owned the old roundtrip cases in the past. I purchased the MTB version because I have varying category bikes and after reviewing the fit and size I opted for the larger MTB case; worked out great for all my bikes for air travel. I have to be a bit creative to fold my road bars in the MTB case due to cutout/straps meant for flat bars but overall excellent design and easy to use. The inside pads that are snapped to the case have much room to accommodate a wide range of bike sizes and fit, it's really well designed. I was even able to fit my regular 56cm gravel bike with dropper into the case WITHOUT having to remove the seatpost! The only thing I wish they had done was make the removable wheel snap and roll away instead of a fully removable item and required to be removed prior to drop off, I have to triple remind myself to not loose it in transit! When not in use the folded mode is really neat!

Perfect 👍🏻

Took my bike to Bentonville with this case, such a good purchase. And it made my travel experience excellent, no hassles, just peace of mind my gear was protected and easy to use. Rolled every where easily. The work stand that secured my bike in the case not only made it easier to travel, it helped me take care of my ride during my trip. The two handy and big side pockets offered enough space for my pedals and tools. The stand was a home mechanic’s dream keeping my ride operating optimally for the next day’s ride. Super stoked to own this case and have the opportunity to bring my bike along for the trip.I recommend this case for any traveler whowants to the secure choice to bring there bike with them. Watch your feet! The wheels did bite my mine when I was transporting the case around. There’s no flaw, it’s just a large size piece of luggage and feet can get in the way. A little more time with the case and I will adjust to traveling with it.
