Sizing is very big

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm usually a size 12 in Finisterre jackets (eg: the Yarrel Flannel Lined Chore Jacket) so ordered the 12 in the Stowe jacket. This is much larger than I'd expect from a size 12 - even the sleeves are too long. However, it is very warm and well-made - and there are no more size 10s available in the sale - so I'll be keeping it. I have to respectfully disagree with 2 other reviews on this though: I don't think it needs to be lined, as it allows the wool to reflect your own body heat back at you, ensuring you're kept nice and toasty; I also think it is good value for a wool jacket even at the original full price.

My 'go-to' jacket, goes with EVERYTHING, love the blend of blue, brown and cream colours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was disappointed when this jacket sold out online, but during a visit to Cambridge I found a size 10 in store—a size I would never normally consider, as I usually wear a 6 or 8 in Finisterre. To my surprise, it fit beautifully. The slightly oversized cut, especially with the cuffs rolled back, was perfect. I could not be happier with it.At one point, I realised I had unintentionally become a full Autumn 2025 Finisterre poster girl: this gorgeous jacket layered over the brown Firecrest, paired with this year’s brown Studio cords, a blue beanie, and last year’s reverse Fair Isle brown knit. Finisterre’s pieces are exceptionally well made, built to last, and reliably warm.

My second one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love love love this jacket. I already had the white, blue and tan one which I loved wearing but adored this colourway and when it appeared in the sale had to have it. One difference I noted was that it feels lighter and a little thinner in the fabric and so not as heavy when wearing. I again went up two sizes like last time to get the shoulder/back width and a boxy look. The colourway is more muted which I love and the pockets are huge. One bit which is annoying is the ‘flap’ at the back of the neck which has a tendency to ride up rather than lie flat when you put it on. Could have one for every colour! ❤️

Cosy blanket coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying my cosy “throw on” blanket coat. bought deliberately in a larger size as I prefer a more casual look! I would prefer the neck facing to be stitched down as often when putting on my coat the facing becomes loose and pulls up specially when worn over sweaters! As I purchased the larger size I needed to turn up the sleeves and wish they were not as tapered so easier to turn back and maybe self lined? The neutral colours are so versatile....perfect for any time a little warmth and comfort is needed!THANKYOU Finisterre for practical but attractive well constructed most wearable clothes

Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice relaxed fit, true to size. It's not lined so not super warm, but warmer than I was expecting. The dark bits are actually more blue in real life, have posted a photo to show the colour.

Unlined

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A lovely jacket which I wanted to wear but have had to line.

Perfect autumn jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this jacket. I did have a reservation about how warm it would be but I’ve lived in it for the last week whilst travelling around Denmark, Sweden and Finland so it’s been well tested! It is literally like wrapping yourself in a very lovely designer blanket. Deep pockets on the front, a collar that will stay up if it’s colder, cuffs that will turn or not and still look stylish. I’ve had so many compliments about this jacket and I’m really pleased I made the investment. No regrets! I sized down after reading other reviews and happy with the fit.

Nice Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll be honest, I do like this jacket but debated about sending it back for a week before deciding to keep it. Like others have said I would have preferred it to have had a lining. The material is a little itchy and I’m not sure how warm it will be when it’s really cold. That said, I am someone who layers and I wore a fleece under it this morning and was warm enough. It’s a good oversized fit so that I can layer. Lovely colours and I’ve already been complimented on it. Hopefully I will be able to make good use of it with / without the layers.

Pleasantly surprised!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I felt the image showed a thicker material so I was slightly hesitant to keep this as it is thinner then I imagine. However, I had kept this and layer jumpers underneath and it is surprisingly warm and I’ve had several compliments so whilst thinner then I’d like, it’s a perfect for layering. It is also oversized so I’m a 14 and o could have gone smaller - it definitely wouldn’t work with just a t shirt underneath - it needs to be treated as a coat.
