[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Skybird jacket because I was so pleased with the Stormbird jacket bought during the winter. The Skybird is exactly what I need for the summer as it is very light but still provides excellent protection against rain - I cycle and walk a lot. An important feature is that it has a two way zip providing greater comfort when cycling or driving and better access to trouser pockets. My only slight reservation is that it only has two pockets. A great product and excellent value.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been contemplating the Skybird for some time because as a walker and cyclist the right waterproof is an essential.Although I haven't had to weather a downpour yet, it is nicely breathable, pleasantly lightweight but warm enough because it fits well with layers underneath. It is not over-blessed with pockets but there are sufficient to spread things around.I am enjoying it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It could do with pockets The neckline and hood area is a little cumbersome too - it comes right up to my jawline area. This is probably needed /wanted in heavy downpours but it feels a little restrictive in light rain / windy weather Generally a great jacket and I’m happy overall
Seems to be a great jacket, with a good fit, clean design. But unfortunately the zipper had issues—it’s on the left side and is misaligned just enough that it consistently snags and gets stuck. This could be a one-off manufacturing defect, but can’t risk it happening again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent quite some time looking for a jacket and tried virtually all of the common brands. Finisterre is a level above the other jackets. The simple elegance and quality is so obviously superior, hard to see why anyone buys any other brand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only tested by light showers so far but all good. Excellent in windy conditions too, keeps you warm even though the material is relatively thin. Good looking jacket. Hope it performs under heavier rain conditions too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been through countless different waterproof jackets, which have leaked or not stood the test of time. Straight away I felt the quality of the jacket and on its first outing lived up to expectation.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well made, well cut, super-light shell, but the zip keeps catching on the edging band. You have to be really careful on feeding through the first few inches, otherwise it sticks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hood is great and does the business of fighting the wind and rain. Pockets are deep and well positioned - The overall fit is good but the sleeves are way too short though.
Zipper is on the wrong side and doesn't slide up and down smoothly. Frustrating to put on and take off. Doesn't seem to be defective, just poor design.
