Finisterre  Elova Insulated Coat - Women's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coat is warm but do not wear it in the rain. I have just been caught in an unexpected shower and after 15 minutes I am soaked through. Water has come through the seams in the arms and around the hood. As the bottom of the coat doesn't zip all the way it somehow funnels water down so my legs are really wet. I can't believe I wasted so much money on this coat. I'm trying to be more considered with my purchasing and I was replacing a high street puffer coat that kept me warm and dry for over 5 years. I thought I would spend a bit more ( more than double the price of my old coat) to be a bit more eco conscious and find something I could wear for another 5 years and beyond. I have just started a 4 week work trip through Europe so I'm now having to hunt for a new coat where I won't get wet. I'm so so disappointed. For anyone considering this coat for potential wet weather.... don't waste your money. Photos for reference where the water has come through.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dithered about this coat for a while, but the recent cold snap made me go for it and I’m so glad I did. Love the long length, the curved hem at the back, the big inside pocket, the adjustable hood, the minimal branding, the two-way zip, and the matte fabric. It has kept me so warm and cosy, and looks equally good over gym gear and long winter dresses. I am a high street 12, and the 12 is plenty roomy, I can get my thickest jumpers underneath and can still move about easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a long puffer style jacket for a while and saw this one online and decided to order it. I ordered a size 8 and It was huge unfortunately! I am normally a size 8-10 and It just looked like a sack on me not remotely the stylish look I was after. It looked good quality but also didn’t seem particularly warm- I obviously didn’t get to try that out though. Finisterre please sort your sizing out. I would have tried a size 6 but none in stock anywhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] . It’s very roomy but personally I prefer roomy in a winter coat. The neck is very comfortable when zipped up, and pockets are fleece lined. Initially found the length took some getting used to, but because you can undo from the bottom it’s still easy to move in. Not sure if it’s good value for money- it’s fairly warm with a few layers underneath - doesn’t look as nice as I thought (looks shorter on the models), but is definitely comfortable.

As I am learning with multiple purchases of Finisterre Outerwear (all of which I love!!) I am solidly a Women’s U.S. size 8 (whereas in many U.S. brands I am a size 10), with room to spare. Which is fantastic because I hate feeling restricted, like I can’t move my arms, or when a garment pulls across my chest. With every Finisterre purchase made to date I can solidly say I fee utter delight when wearing their garments. The construction, fabrications, overall design and special details, the emphasis on functionality (without feeling encumbered by too many ‘bells and whistles’, etc.), the company ethos- it all contributes to a wonderful experience as the wearer. I plan to layer this joyful cloud jacket under my Long Line Stormbird when weather gets to woofin’. I can’t recommend it enough!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I saw this coat online, I knew I had to have it! And seeing and trying it on in-store only confirmed this. The colour, Chestnut, is just gorgeous, and it's the perfect relaxed shape. I sized down one size and there is still plenty of room for layers. Not the warmest coat I have had, but it's absolutely fine with some good wool layers underneath. Very happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this coat. I got a US size 4 which is my normal size and I don't regret it. I can layer as much as I want under it. Could have sized down if I wanted to. It kept me warm in New York City in January. I was only in very light snow and rain but it was great for that. Highly recommend and I very rarely write reviews. Beautiful color too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little concerned this coat wouldn’t be warm enough as it’s so light and not at all bulky, but I wore it out on a frosty day with just a light jumper underneath and I was so snuggly and warm! I’m delighted I kept it! It’s also a beautiful colour and goes with a lot in my wardrobe. Highly recommend, and thank you Finisterre!
