Great all rounder jacket

The stormbird is a superb waterproof jacket and I can use my Firecrest jacket underneath it for extra warmth as needed. The layers work so well together, but the jacket is also so easy to just throw on when there is a quick shower too. I'm prepared for anything with the Firecrest, Stormbird and Isla jackets!

An elegant solution to a rainy problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this jacket. It's a great cut, with an empire line vibe (good for busty ladies), fab 2-way zip (one of humanity's greatest inventions) lots of pockets, super dry in wet conditions (I went out without an umbrella in heavy rain to test it), good sized hood to cover your hairdo. The colour, Deep Sea green, is a miracle. It literally goes with everything. An expensive purchase but it works. I would say that it comes in on the large size. The 14 in the shop swamped me and the 12 had room to spare for jumpers / fleeces etc even though I am usually a 14 on top 12 on the bottom.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first Finisterre purchase and I am absolutely delighted with the Stormbird jacket. Gorgeous colour. It fits perfectly and is just great for any weather this time of year throws at you.

Not 5 star worthy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a new properly waterproof coat and saw the reviews of this one. Looked really good and has great green credentials. I’ve now worn it a few times in the pouring rain. Mostly I like it. However....The sleeves could be longer. I’m a fairly average person, but the sleeves aren’t long enough for me to fully pull my hands up into the sleeve when it’s chucking it down. Also the hood doesn’t have a very big peak and it sits right back, not offering a huge amount of protection to my face. But it is waterproof. Just not sure I’d wear on a really wet hillside

Great jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An Excellent jacket that suits the female shape much better than others, due to it getting slightly wider rather than being straight. Also has plenty of room in the sleeves and body to allow layering. The cuff velco is well designed to give a comfortable fit for those with a smaller wrist. It is also great to have decent sized pockets on the outside as well as one insideAll in all an excellent design, although not yet tested in very wet weather.I would normally wear a 12 jacket but in this I can comfortably wear a 10

Good length sleeves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You know how you search for the perfect coat, this is nearly it! The only thing I'd change is to add a storm flap with press studs over the main zip. I know the zip is coated and double ended to help with ventilation, but I've always found that being able to close a storm flap whilst leaving the zip undone when it's only raining lightly is just brilliant- so if you are going to revisit the design, please include a storm flap! Sleeve length is perfect though, when I find most coat sleeves too short.

Great looking, very waterproof jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve needed a really good waterproof jacket for a while and Finisterre are my go to company for outer wear. This jacket doesn’t disappoint. It’s very wind and waterproof. Very well made and feels like it will last a very long time! I usually take a size 8 but I wanted to have room for a fleece or other thick layers so I got the size 10 and it’s perfect for what I wanted. It was very pricey but I haven’t been disappointed with my other purchases from this company so here’s hoping 🤞🏻

Love love love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't worn this on a proper hike yet, but it's been great in everyday use. I also love the colour and cut of it – much better than a lot of others. The pockets are in super convenient places and the various cords/velcro straps to adjust it to fit are well placed. The tucking away of the pull-cords on the hood is a nice touch too. Really impressed with this jacket. I'm 5'2", 102lbs and bought the size 8 and I can comfortably fit a jumper and insulated layer underneath.

GREAT Jacket

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is hands-down one of the best rain jackets I’ve owned. It handled heavy rain and wind without a single drop getting through, yet it stayed comfortable and breathable the whole time. The fit is excellent, the hood provides great coverage, and the quality is obvious right out of the box. Lightweight, durable, and stylish enough for everyday wear. If you’re on the fence, don’t be—this jacket is absolutely worth it.
