Great Snowboard - Horrible REI Experience

Snowboard Performance (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) The snowboard itself is purely amazing. It felt incredibly easy to turn and control, even in icy conditions. Edge hold was solid and confidence-inspiring, and overall it rode smoothly and predictably. Whether carving or making quick adjustments, the board responded effortlessly. Absolutely no complaints about the product — it performs exactly as advertised and then some. REI Experience (⭐️) Unfortunately, the buying experience was the complete opposite. I placed my online order on December 27 with an estimated delivery date of January 2. On December 31, I received an email saying my order was canceled, with no explanation whatsoever. On January 1, I went to the physical store to speak with a manager. Even after checking the system, he couldn’t determine why the order had been canceled — especially since the item still showed as in stock. I ended up placing the exact same order, same size and model, in the store, and this time it went through without issue. Because the reorder happened in January, I now won’t receive the rebate until next year. It’s hard not to feel like the original order was canceled to avoid honoring the rebate within the required timeframe. Final Thoughts The snowboard itself is outstanding and absolutely worth it. However, the vendor’s online ordering and customer experience were extremely disappointing and left a bad taste. Great product — very poor execution on the sales side.
