Even when these boots first arrived I was disappointed because the arch profile is high and rigid. But otherwise, I liked the boots so I added an insert around the arch and it seemed to help. But now, after owning the boots for just a month, the outer sole is starting to deteriorate. I haven't even worn them everyday, just for outdoor walks about 3 times a week. I've never seen this happen in any shoe before. I wanted to like these boots because they are pretty, but paying as much as I did for these just to see chunks start to fall out of them after less than 30 days is so frustrating. It's also too late to return them. Argh. . .
So nice!! I didn’t even have to change out the insole as soon as I got them. My last 6 pairs of Keens the insoles have been crap. These are nice. I’ve probably put at least 20 miles on these. So far they are great! I do wish they would come in wides. That would be perfect. They pinch my feet a tad. Also the tread is not as thick as I’m used to but that’s just a preference. I hike on rocky, hard packed and loose dirt/rocks so it makes me slip. Again, no fault of Keen just a preference. It’s really great to be able to leave a good review of these shoes. I almost gave up on Keens but they are my favorite.
I got these cause I wanted lightweight and waterproof hiking boots before camping at Warren Dunes State Park in MI. They feel just like comfy running shoes in any terrain. I wore them the week before at work to break them in, but honestly, they didn’t need it. They were comfy out of the box. I would recommend wearing good socks though. I wear “darn tough” or Nike socks with them - while camping I’ve hiked a bunch of fairly rugged trails with my dogs, climbed massive dunes, and water crashed over my feet from the lake up to the edge of the ankle height - and yall! I was dry and comfy! The only thing I had to really do to maintain comfort was pour sand out from the dunes. Sand was peskier than the water. Unless I stepped too far into the water for it to literally pour in, my feet were completely dry. I will be reordering this pair when I need a new set. Also, I’ve been told I have a wide toe box but normal heel. I also have more of an arch than the average girl. And these were perfect for me. Flat or narrow feet folks might not love these.
Incredibly comfortable. I work in a warehouse and have many keg and feet issues. These shoes provide lots of comfortable support.
I just had to finally let go of a pair of Keen Targhee hiking boots I’ve been wearing regularly since 2013. So they lasted 12 years! These Leiki’s are lighter and dare I say even more comfortable. I hope they last just as long! This is my third pair of Keen hikers and I think I’ll never go anywhere else. Comfortable right out of the box on a six foot hike, no breaking in time needed. And this model is an even more attractive style, with the same roomy toe area. Love!!
Aside from being significantly more attractive than most hiking footwear out there, these boots are very comfortable. I also find the style quite versatile, and anticipate wearing them on the weekends in the fall and spring.
These are very comfortable boots right from the start. I’ve taken two hikes in them now and found them to be very supportive, to have excellent traction on steep climbs, and they feel great on my feet.
Only had them for one week. They were comfortable from the first step. Well cushioned footbed and supported all around. Fairly lightweight.
