First off the quality of these pants are great The moment you put them on they feel like quality For me the fit is perfect Plenty of room to layer underneath because on cold days you will have to layer up There is virtually no insulation in these My previous obermeyer pants did So this was a change These pants are shell like in construction But they do a great job keeping the wind and precipitation out I think I’m really going to like these in warmer temps too bc my insulated ones were always too warm They are very comfortable I love the belt feature too I would purchase again
Stio makes high quality stuff and their sizing just fits me better (34" waist, size M). I seem to be in-between sizes with some other brands but not Stio. These pants are very nice with all the features; pockets, cooling zips and it just feels like a very well made product. Wore it a few times and I love it. I gave it 4 stars because I am really not sure why they sawed on the belt to the pants. Washing instruction even says the belt should be removed before washing as the metal buckle could damage the washing machine drum, yet they have it sewed on. It took me some effort to detach it from the pants as I don't usually like to wear a belt with my ski pants. It has the velcro waist adjustment so the belt, especially sewed on, was not what I expected.
I like these pants alot. Skied two seasons, but by end of last the scuff gaurd had become worn through by my boots coming together. Im an advanced skier and had hoped these were going to hang for at least two more seasons. The guard is open enough that snow accumulates inside the cuff which isn't great, especially when drying. Unfortunately Stio said they won't warranty them and they cannot repair, which kinda sucks. Patagonia does repairs, not sure why Stio can't or won't.
Wanted to give Stio a try and I’m extremely happy with the fit. The velcro adjustment waist is great and the pants fit perfectly around the thigh and lower leg. Quality build. Been wearing the AT Sabre for years but these are just as good.
This is my second pair (first pair I used 3 ski seasons) Fit is excellent (I wear a medium short) great vents for spring skiing Nice and warm in mid winter conditions under stio knickers Very durable
Love these pants - not too baggy but enough room to move. Having different lengths is key for me too. Zippers and vents are all solid. One more pocket might be nice, overall very satisfied.
Best ski pants I’ve ever owned. I got my first pair in 2017, this is now my second pair.
