Black Diamond  Infinity Cord

This infinity cord is really skinny. My triple length infinity cord (180) packs down smaller than my double length magic sling (120).

As an adherent of the cordelette style of belay building, this infinity cord is a must have. It has a smaller footprint on the harness due to its stiffness, which makes it slightly moldable ... you can "pack it down". When used to build a belay, it's clean, strong, and slick. Big fan. I've been using climbing gear since the mid-90's ... this is one of those pieces of kit that makes you say, "where has this been all my life?".

I’ve used this cord primarily as a rap extension, but also occasionally to thread chalk stones/pinches. It’s been great. Compared with other similar products, it has a good feel, knots well and is much less stiff. The “infinity” idea is a little overhyped, and like other similar products it does have a pretty clear splice that you need to take care to keep out of the way. Compared with some of the early products on the market, the infinity cord is thinner, and knots set harder than products made with aramid. After a couple months of use it’s holding up well, and seems like it will be a durable product.

Big fan. I like how the "stiffness" allows you to mold it into a more compact shape when hanging on harness. Provides a smaller form factor than normal cordelette cord.

There’s so many applications for this one piece of gear. The infinity cord is great for anchor building, hard to reach places since it conforms to the shape you make it. and also good for natural anchors and trad climbing. It folds down nice and compact on your harness. Immense breaking strength. 1000% will buy another one. The 180cm is my favorite length. The 240cm is nice but a little long. Could be great for a three point trad anchor though.

I’ve been using my 240cm infinity sling primarily to build anchors on multipitch trad climbs. It’s super lightweight, knots are much easier to untie than traditional Dyneema slings, the sheath gives me the warm and fuzzies when things start to rub… do yourself a favor and get yourself one

The infinity cord is a fun cord that can be used like any other cord or runner. I haven't totally found a practical use for it in its rigid form yet. But it is super light weight and easy to stow and use.

The Infinity Cord is a smooth operator. Thin light and a just the right amount of stiffness to hold it’s shape for static beta at reachy anchors. Looking forward to picking up a variety of lengths for my kit when they are available.

The connected ends are less obtrusive than typical flat runners. They are also lighter while just as strong. I also like not having to pay attention to how the material lines up for knots etc since it round rather than flat.

Great piece of kit. Its obviously more expensive than an equivalent dyneema sling but racks on the harness better, handles knots really well and inspires confidence. Also nice to not have a bar-tack to be annoyed with!
