I was looking for a simple, budget friendly, and robust 3L hard shell like my Patagonia torrentshell that also had a helmet compatible hood. This jacket is all of that and so much more. For half the price of all of the top of the line gore Tex, you get essentially the same waterproofing, ultra light weight design, and features like harness compatible pockets, pit zips, and Velcro closures. One minor annoyance is the zipper can get caught somewhat easily but I’ve been able to avoid it by gracefully zipping. I’ve summited multiple 6k meter peaks in Bolivia, tons of 14ers, and more in this jacket and it’s been the best purchase I’ve made in a long time! I will absolutely keep buying this as my all around mountaineering/ski mountaineering jacket till they stop selling it. Great fit and absolutely wind/waterproof.
