Perfect transitional weather layering piece!

I am a huge capilene fan, so I put this on my wish list as soon as it came out, and purchased it before was heading out for a long weekend camping in Northern PA. You never know what weather you'll get here in September, and we ended up experiencing everything from high 40s to low 80s. I wore my thermal crew almost the entire weekend, either layered over a capilene tshirt for a hike or under a down vest while sitting around the campfire at night. I'll definitely be wearing it almost nonstop this fall!

Like the coziest sweatshirt! Runs big!

This is much different than other Patagonia pieces I own so I wasn't sure at first, but now I love it and don't want to take it off. The fit is short and very boxy compared to most Patagonia tops. (I own an old R1, a Capilene Air crew, and Capilene cool Daily Ts). I'm used to Patagonia tops being very long, covering my bum. This top is short and wide, so it doesn't fit like a base-layer. Instead it fits like your favorite big comfy sweatshirt. It's quite oversized - if you don't want an oversized comfy fit then size down for sure. I debated but eventually bought my usual size and I'm very pleased to use this as a mega-comfy layer to toss on top. The inside fabric is most reminiscent of my original R1 - it's grid fleece but the grids are smaller and overall thinner than the R1. It feels more "floppy" and less structured than the R1. It feels nothing like any Capilene piece so I don't know why they titled it that. I anticipate wearing this mostly for around-town, travel, at home, occasional chilly hikes. And I'll use my R1 + Capilene Air for bigger outside adventures.

Nice top, not for me

Although I felt this is quality product, I returned due to my own style needs. This top is not long enough for my style as I have gotten older. I prefer a top that comes below my stomach area, this hits about mid range. Just not as flattering for me anymore. I would recommend this for others who do not have that need.

Warm and lightweight

Happy I bought this for my upcoming trip to an Autumn climate in the Southern Hemisphere. While it’s not the most flattering piece (think boxy), I know this will wash and hang dry perfectly for travel. Feels warm and soft for the flight and lounging. My torso is on the long side so this does sit above my hips but layering some longer shirts under works fine because it’s roomy. Hopefully this will last for the wash and wear. I’ll have to come back to update my review.

Comfy but smells awful

Warm and comfortable, but I returned it because the anti-odor technology did not work. It was the worst smelling shirt I have ever worn (and most of my shirts don’t have any anti-odor technology).

🏆 company with a conscience

I have been wearing Patagonia for decades. Their styles are timeless and stand up to the test of time. Pieces get passed down to grandchildren. They stand behind their products and have a sustainability mission. The world needs more companies like Patagonia!

Comfy light layer for winter, runs large

I was skeptical about warmth because this was light and felt airy, but I wore it as a layer in Montana winter and it was great. I sized down 2x (I'm a small/medium and the XS fit great), and could fit a layer, maybe one more, for a comfortable fit. Want at least 1 more!

Super comfy

I’ve only had this top a few hours and it’s already my fave. I’ve been looking for a neutral lightweight pull over with a pouch pocket. I am 5’8”, 145 and the M ft perfectly, but I wanted comfy so I bought the large. I bought plum and it’s a pretty color.

Disappointing quality

Worn once on a walk and there was a snag on the front of the shirt. Not made to hold up to the outdoors. Disappointing for the price point and brand

Great top for casual wear or sport

Love the color, fit and fabric. Perfect long sleeve for walks, workout or yoga. Material is not clingy, don't bunch and is cooling.
