Tight for XL and Loose Liner
Tight for XL, especially across the palm. I am 6' tall, weigh 208, have a 35" sleeve length... XL should fit but are tight. Also, unless I take several minutes to pinch each gloved finger when removing the gloves, the liner pulls out every time. Good wind protection with decent warmth, enough when active.
Great gloves, bad size chart
I really like thse gloves, they are comfortable and waterproof with good flexibility /dexterity. I meticulously measured my hand size including finger length and circumference and fell in the middle of the medium size range. I ordered a medium. They were too small. Very tight to get on, and the fingers were too short. I ordered a large and they fit fine.
Another Great OR Product
I've used these gloves primarily for cooler weather cycling conditions now approaching in the northeast. They're also with me for exposed ridge lines on my mountain adventures. They really block the wind nicely and they also provide good dexterity. I've been a big proponent of OR gear over the past few decades, and these Sureshot Pros are a nice addition to the mix. Picking them up on a sale was extra sweet. The only reason I held off on the fifth star is that they're a slightly tighter fit than the Flurry Sensors which have been my go-to for a wide range of activities.
SO WARM AND WATERPROOF
Went camping and was expecting it to be snowing but it wasn't. There was snow on the ground and it was pouring down rain, I was worried that with these gloves my hands would just get wet and cold cus it was actual rain not snow. Boy was I wrong, my hands stayed so dang dry I am thoroughly impressed! And even when it got dark the weather dropped to around 25 and these kept my hands warm and they weren't too bulky, I was able to start a fire, do some shooting drills (AR and pistol) as well as some other bushcraft activities with ease. LOVE these gloves, great purchase!
Great fit!
Wore them in 30 degree weather the other day my fingers felt a little cold at the beginning but by the time I finished walking my fingers were feeling better and warm. It wasn’t raining at the time so I couldn’t test the waterproof of the gloves. The touch screen didn’t work really great had to touch my phone screen several times to get it to work.
Small palm size, good in the fingers.
Runs small in the palm. I've got several pairs of OR gloves in "M" that fit great, these in medium fit great in the fingers but the palm feels short. They are also tight to get into. On the third wear I popped some seams just trying to get them on. They are moderately warm. Maybe I just got a bad pair, I've had a lot of QC issues with OR's gloves. Like I said I have several pairs in medium that fit great, but trying to order a second pair of those has been a nightmare finding ones that are not sewn weird or have fit issues.
Good gloves to try
Needed to replace my gloves and have been looking at Outdoor Research brands for a while, so I decided to try a pair. They are a bit snug where the cuff meets the glove, but with the pull strap it works. Once on, they fit great, and since the winter is just getting started, I can't confirm the warmth yet.
Run narrow
We love these gloves but my husbands hands are wide and the gloves are too tight. We were hoping to replace them with a larger size but they are out of stock. We will be making a trip to the store to exchange for another type that may run a little wider.
Excellent Glove!
Absolutely love these gloves for mahy reasons. Firstly, the glove has an amazing fit. While it is easy to get on with the straps to help it is a snug fit that allows me to manouever very well with them. Additionally, the gloves are not so big and padded that I can't do much with my hands, however, they still keep my hands warm. My only complaint would be that it is really difficult to use my phone despite the fingertip specifically meant for using the phone. Would highly recommend these gloves.
Good dexterity while warm and windproof
These were the gloves I was looking for. Fit was great and feels secure. The glove is windproof and is decently waterproof. I got these to go up Aconcagua. It's a part of my many gloves I'm bringing. This is my glove at higher camps when I need to work with my hands. I also have the lightweight/heavyweight vigor gloves as well as higher down expedition mittens for low Temps and summit day. But I needed something that would work well in snow and high winds while keeping dexterity. These are it.
