Lite and tight to the back. Pockets on the straps are perfect for salt sticks, phone, and snacks while running/walking. Exterior pocket at bottom of shoulder strap perfect for stashing 12oz water bottle. Med kit, shell, and extras fit in main pocket well. Can store a ton in there.
This pack is comfortable and fits a surprising amount. I used it on a recent trip where I brought a warm layer, raing layer, small stove and snacks. I love the separate water bottle sleeve. My only complaint is that the shoulder pockets are small compared to the Distance series and thus don't fit a phone well or soft flasks. Not a huge deal as I could put these in the ample side pockets and carry snacks in the front.
After trying close to 8 backpacks from various top brands for my short frame I was super excited to see how the pursuit 15 hugged me and fit me well. I needed something small for my weekend hikes and am super happy with this that I ordered the pursuit 30 for longer hikes. Can’t wait to try it.
We recently embarked on challenging hikes through Lassen National Park and Mount Tam with this exceptional backpack, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The backpack strikes a perfect balance between ample storage space for all the necessary essentials and a lightweight, durable design that doesn't weigh you down during long treks. The color scheme is attractive, although more color options would have been a welcome addition. The waist belt and double sternum straps provided a snug and secure fit, ensuring the pack stayed stable even during demanding trails. We found the outside pockets to be surprisingly useful, providing easy access to frequently needed items. The zippers worked flawlessly, and their seals effectively protected our belongings from rain and moisture. Despite hiking in 80º temperatures, the backpack remained remarkably breathable, keeping us comfortable throughout our journey. This backpack is a reliable companion for outdoor adventures, and we highly recommend it to fellow nature enthusiasts.
This day pack is the perfect size for me. I struggle to find a backpack that works for my petite frame and this one fits the bill. It's large enough to fit everything I need for a day hike, and the side straps are very comfortable.
I love this pack for lightweight missions - the shoulder straps are perfect and don't rub in the arm pits like other similar kinds. Surprisingly spacious for a long day hike and compact enough for a trail run.
I’ve only used the pack once, but so far it seems great. The pack carries weight very comfortably and sits well on my torso. After using running packs for daypacks for a while, I can’t stand how hiking packs don’t have pockets on the shoulder straps. It’s great to have a larger capacity bag with a good hip belt that also has pockets on the straps. The strap pockets are a bit narrower than my BD running packs, not sure if this is due to those being men’s/unisex packs or just a different design on this pack. I can just fit my iPhone 11 in the strap pocket, but might not be able to if I had a bulkier case. On my running packs I carry bear spray in the shoulder strap pockets, but the strap pockets on the Pursuit 15 don’t work as well for that (but bear spray can easily go in the side stretch pockets). My biggest complaint about the pack is the lack of hydration tube routing. There is one elastic loop on the shoulder straps to run the tube through, but it’s high-ish up and the tube hangs sort of awkwardly with no other loops or clips to secure it with. But, overall this still seems like a great, comfy pack!
Great pack. Very comfortable to wear all day and not notice.
