I can't provide a full review yet, as I've only just received this item. So, take my rating with a grain of salt. I did however want to post some pictures to demonstrate its size, as that is likely to be a factor others will consider. I bought this bag because my previous (synthetic) bag was bulky, and cold. I can't speak to how well this Terra 30 performs in cold weather yet, but it is impressively compact, and the stuff bag seems very robust. Attached are some photos comparing it to a synthetic 30° bag and a standard nalgene bottle.
This bag is lightweight and packs down pretty small, I had used it on a couple trips now and found that it works great when it dips into the 50s and upper 40s. On a recent trip it was in the mid 30s overnight and that seem to be the limit of the bag as I got pretty cold but I also tend to sleep colder than most especially since I have poor foot and hand circulation. I could have used base layers to more effectively insulate so that is my fault. The bag is a perfect fit and super roomy. I’m 6’7 and weigh 189 pounds and had room to spare in it which is not a luxury I get too often. The zipper does get snagged every once in a while which can be a real struggle when you wake up having to go to the bathroom urgently in the middle of the night.
