I'd been looking for just the right pack for work overnights and/or a short weekend trip. I was using a similar, less expensive and smaller bag when I found this Gregory bag. It's perfect and I don't use that term often. Two zippered sections for clothes and amenities that hold just enough. Then there's the laptop pocket and smaller top pockets for phone, key etc that really does make it the perfect travel pack.

Multiple flights and three weeks in Mexico showed this to be a great choice. Plenty of volume, solid construction, thoughtful features. I’m a 6’ 220 lb guy, and the only thin* keeping me from giving this 5 stars are the shoulder straps - for a back you can easily load pretty heavy, these are just too light - it deserves wider and better cushioning. That said, I’m being picky - it’s a keeper for me.

Great weekend bag

Perfect sized back for short work or weekend trips. I had a Cotopaxi 28L and it is 12" wide. The extra width with the Border 30 (13") lets me fold my clothes horizontally like a suitcase (though can still be tight). Fits fine under the airline seat. And material seems to be high quality.

I have several packs, bags and luggage for travel but this is my go-to pack for weekend to week trips. Packing cubes, toiletries, laptop/iPad, sandals and a pair of shoes fit perfectly. Can even fit under airline seat if no overhead available.
