Excellent larger travel pack

Purchased both colors of the Gregory Border 50+15 for an upcoming trip overseas. Stellar build quality that you would expect from Gregory. I love the larger 50 liter capacity as many travel packs are only in the 40-45 liter range. Very well thought out design features like the sturdy grab handles and ability to enclose all back straps if you want to check in the bag. The 15 liter bag isn’t just an afterthought and a very nice day pack with great organization features. One of the things I love most about Gregory is that when you wear a Gregory pack, it feels like it was custom made just for you! Their packs just sit and wear so comfortably whether it is a small day pack or a big travel pack! Couldn’t be happier with this travel pack and can’t wait to use it for many years to come!

Almost perfect, I love the clamshell opening, internal pockets and zippers, zipper cover for straps but I had to modify this bag for my liking by removing the internal frame so the bag would fit as a carry-on. Hopefully version 2 fixes the few flaws on this bag including a frame being longer than 22 in, the heavy duty plastic handles on the back of the bag, they rattle and shake when the bag is in transit, they should have used the nylon handles they used on the rest of the bag. Also remove the huge flap on the back for the smaller bag and make way for the smaller bad to attach to the front of the straps of the larger bag like other brands do. The way this system stores the smaller bag on the back is inconvenient for traveling for many reasons and makes the smaller bag not secure in public areas.
