Nice design but quite fragile material

I have the ‘24/‘25 version of the Rush Bib. I love the design and light weight. But, the material is just remarkably not durable. On my fifth day skiing in them last winter I brushed by a small fir tree. When I got to the bottom of the run I saw that my VHF radio was no longer in my thigh pocket. The tree brush had torn a hole large enough at the bottom of the pocket that the radio just dropped right out. Fortunately, a climb back to the top and an hour of Marco Polo on my friend’s radio reunited me with the radio. Over the summer Arcteryx did a nice repair job (but charged me for it). If this season’s product uses the same material as last winter’s I just can’t recommend this bib.

Hello there, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Rush Bib, and we're sorry to hear how quickly the material failed for you. We’re glad to know you appreciated the design and lightweight build, but we completely understand how frustrating it must have been to discover a tear significant enough to lose your radio after such minimal contact and so few days on snow. That’s not the level of durability we aim to deliver in our technical outerwear. We’re also aware that you had the bib repaired over the summer, and while we’re glad the work met your expectations, we understand your disappointment in having to cover the cost. Your feedback about the fabric performance is incredibly valuable, and it will be shared with our product teams as they continue to refine future iterations. If you ever want support in finding a piece better suited to the type of terrain and gear you carry, we’re here to help.

Short lengths please

I’ll second the need for short lengths. Long lengths too I would guess.

Hello there, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Rush Bib. We appreciate your feedback around length options. It’s clear that having shorter regular and longer inseam choices would help more guests find the right fit for their needs. The Rush Bib is designed as a technical alpine and backcountry piece, built for protection and mobility in demanding conditions, but we know that fit preferences vary widely depending on activity and body type. Your comments are valuable, and we’ll be sure to pass them along to our product team as they continue to refine sizing and length options in future iterations.

Do Not Buy

Have used these pants 13 days total (only use them for touring) and in at time have had three product service claims and repairs done on them. Two tears both occurred during normal simple terrain ski touring. One resulting in the garment no longer being waterproof on the tear. As well as a zipper come right off the track keeping a lighter and a Clif bar stuck in my pocket on an overnight hut trip. Extremely poor quality with next to no durability. They are just so fragile and feel as such. Not at all worth the hassle of going through constant product service requests or the price. Also very tight fitting with not great mobility. I bought a large and wear large in everything and it feels as if I am wearing a skinny fit pant.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that after only 13 days of owning your Rush Bib, you’ve already had to submit three Product Service Request forms. That’s far from the level of performance and reliability we aim to deliver, and we understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be. We regret that the tears occurred during normal use and that one compromised the waterproofing of the garment. The zipper issue you described, especially during an overnight trip, sounds incredibly inconvenient, and we appreciate you bringing that to our attention. We also hear your concerns about the fit and mobility. The Rush Bib is designed with a regular silhouette and should allow for freedom of movement, especially in a size that matches your usual fit. Your feedback about the tightness and limited mobility is important, and we’ll be sharing it with our product team as we continue to evaluate and improve future designs. This item features updated GORE-TEX PRO with ePE membrane technology, which is free from intentionally added PFAS and intended to be lighter and thinner without sacrificing durability. However, we recognize that your experience didn’t reflect that promise, and we sincerely apologize. If you’d like help finding a more suitable alternative or have questions about your repairs, please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone or email. We appreciate your honesty and the time you took to share this feedback. It helps us do better.

GORE-TEX PRO ePF disappointing.

Like the pants but not the fabric. I'm finding the GORE-TEX PRO ePF wets out very quickly. Disappointingly so. On recent outings GORE-TEX PRO jacket is shedding wet snow (and rain) as it should but the pants end up completely wet out. Feels like ePF fabrics still have work to do in order to be on par with regular GORE-TEX for conditions near or above freezing.

Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience with the Rush Bib. We’re sorry to hear the face fabric is wetting out more quickly than expected. We understand how frustrating that can feel, especially when your jacket is performing differently in the same conditions. With GORE‑TEX PRO using the newer ePE membrane, you may notice the face fabric wetting out a bit faster, but rest assured this doesn’t impact the waterproof protection of the membrane itself. If the fabric is wetting out sooner than you’d like, a simple wash and dry cycle can help remove oils and restore the DWR so it can perform at full strength again. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue refining how these materials perform in real‑world conditions.

New year, same poor fit

I purchased a pair of the rush bibs last year and returned them due to the poor fit, particularly they were very tight through the crotch. I saw the updates to this year's bibs that claimed to fix the fit issues. I got another pair and will be returning them as the crotch fit issues are still there, seemingly unchanged from last year's product!

Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience with the Rush Bib Pant. We’re sorry to hear that the fit still didn’t meet your expectations, especially after the updates this season. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we’ll make sure it’s passed along to our design team for review. For this year’s revision, the Rush Bib was updated with a roomier fit for improved mobility, a more secure suspender attachment, two top-entry bib pockets, and a media sleeve in each thigh pocket. While these changes were aimed at improving performance and comfort, we understand that fit can be very personal, and we appreciate you letting us know where it still falls short for you. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. It helps us continue to refine and improve our products.

Leider wenig Auswahl an Größen

Must Have Touring Bib

I use these during every tour. The breathe well with the ventilation zips and keeps the wind out. Shown exactly on the summit of Mt. Washington. 50mph winds and I didnt feel it at all. No issues with durability when going through trees.

Do tall people not do backcountry?

Seriously, can we not have a tall version of these. They are crazy short, even at 33inch for an xl they come up much shorter. Wouldn’t be able to take a high step without being well above my boot.

Not that great

Not very warm. Went for a ride on the skidoo down the street and it did not keep you warm at all. Especially for the price.

Hello Randel, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Rush Bib. We’re sorry to hear it didn’t keep you warm during your skidoo ride, that’s understandably disappointing, especially at this price point. The Rush Bib is built as a waterproof, breathable GORE‑TEX shell designed to protect against wind, snow, and moisture, but it doesn’t include any built‑in insulation, which means warmth depends heavily on the layers worn underneath. We know that can feel surprising if you were expecting an insulated piece, and your feedback is important. We’ll be sure to pass it along to our product team as we continue refining our outerwear. Thank you again for letting us know.

Limited sizing

I wish this was offered in XS short. I'm 5'7" and the regular inseam is way too long for me.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to learn that the current sizing is not a match for your needs, and we completely understand how important it is to find the right fit, especially when it comes to inseam length. We appreciate you pointing out the need for an Extra Small - Short option. While it’s not available at the moment, we’ve made note of your request and will pass it along to our product team. Input like yours plays a key role in helping us improve and expand our sizing offerings. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review.
