Runs small!
I like the material, style, and color. I purchased this top in my normal size. I'm taking a star off because it runs really small. I checked the tag to see if REI sent me the wrong size by mistake. The REI website says it is low in stock so I ordered another in a larger size instead of exchanging it. I'll return the size that is too small and I guess I'll have to pay the shipping costs. Hopefully this review will help somebody avoid paying extra shipping in order to find the correct size.
Lightweight, very warm, does not bind, breathable. I am ordering 2 more!!
I am critical of base layers, they are expensive and I need them to perform and go the distance. I expect breathability, feeling soft, moves easily when layered, and most of all be warm. This garment outperforms all my expectations. I have not yet washed the garment, so I cant speak to durability. This provides remarkable warmth for how light the fabric feels. In the interior of Alaska our temps have ranged from -37 to 8F today. I have a Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily T-shirt with this layered over and I am very cozy. I will be buying a few more and also this entire collection.
Great Winter Version of My Fav UPF Fabric
I purchased this Crater Lake Heavyweight because I'm obsessed with the light weight version for summer. This fabrication is amazing! It's not as heavy as I expected it to be and that's honestly perfect. The fleece is like a subtle waffle weave and easily maintains breathability while working outdoors. It's perfect for those days you don't need a jacket but also don't want to catch a chill in a summer weight UV shirt. The thumb hole placement is subtle enough that when I'm no using it the sleeves don't look too long or bulky. Looking forward to more colors!
Great half zip top
Love this top. Perfect thickness for what i want. Not too thick. It has great texture and of course the color is fantasic. Quality is nice too.

This is a really nice layer. It is somewhat form-fitting but feels great on. The color, light blue/green, is very attractive.
Crater lake pull over
This garment is well made the hood is extremely helpful on hikes when you need to cover quickly. It's warm and yet thin.
