Have had the opportunity to ride 4 days in these so far. I prefer a stiff boot so these are great with the two tongue inserts. Definitely an 8 with those maybe a 5-6 for stiffness without. I prefer the boa around the ankle with laces which these have. The added power strap is also a nice finish if you prefer to feel really locked in. These do pack out, I would go snug at first with no hot spots for fit. One evening wearing around the house and four days of riding packed these out under a half size. Initially there was a little pressure on my toes but now they reach the front of the liner but no pressure on the toes. They appear to be pretty well built but, I have no longitudinal data at this point. Solid boot so far, I ride these with large ride A9 bindings and there is very little room width wise. They are on the chunkier side.
Im a snowboard patroller at KHMR and this is my 4th pair of these boots now. The foot box collapses once packed out when your tightening your binding heel strap so your foot get crushed and is painful, boots turn to noodles within 10 days of riding regardless of if you use the stiffeners or not (the stiffeners don't change ride feel much) quality is poor all around, restraint strap is made too big so once the boots are packed out you can't tighten them down properly, the gator material disintegrates over time, general boots materials are flaking and pealing off at seams. Great for the first 5 days then they turn painful, soft and unsupportive. I will say this current paid is the first set the boa hasn't broken on but if you are a big mountain rider hitting the hill regularly these won't hold up to it. I'm trying the burton boots next
