Poor QC, hole in new tube.
Purchased two of these to replace a thicker and heavier Kenda tube, unfortunately one of them had a hole at the base of the stem upon opening. The difference in the weight is not worth having to return a brand new product, nor to be concerned that this might happen while on the road. Returning both, would not recommend.
Goldilocks
I had a one of those orange ultra light tubes as an emergency back up. Got a flat. Then cut the tube during the install. Too light. But the standard tubes are too big to fit in my frame storage. So I got this tube and it fits perfectly. I haven't had to use it yet, but I am confident it won't get a puncture from just staring at it too hard like the orange one.
