I held off on buying this jacket until it went on sale. I've wanted one for years to replace a tattered North Face thermoball jacket of the same style. While the North Face served me well I am pleased with it's replacement. This jacket is down (e. g. not synthetic) and is much warmer than the North Face. It is also slim and fits well. I wear this under my rain jacket for inclement weather since down and water do not get along. I have even used this configuration in the past for skiing in higher temps. I expect the down to be more finicky than synthetics but that is the trade-off for a significantly warmer jacket. All in all Stio has the best quality for the money. I've only ever made exchanges for size or color. Never returned anything for dissatisfaction.
This is the Very Best Down Sweater I have ever worn under a shell; period! I wore it under my Stio Figment Jacket at Winter Park, CO and it didn’t get too hot! It was just right and kept me warm. Very well made and you can definitely tell that it was designed for us skiers and boarders. Really well thought out with pockets in all the right places. Well done Stio! Cheers:skier:️:ski::sunglasses::+1::+1:
Lovely jacket but color not exactly true to what was advertised. It was a bit large. I have the Stio's men's Snap Shirt in same size so was disappointed this jacket didn't work. I like the men's selection because women's tops are "tucked" around the torso. Prefer a boxier look.
The warmth, fit, and finish of this mid-layer is perfect for the cold northeast blue bird ski days. It fits comfortably over my base layer and under my jacket. The zippered hand pockets and inside pocket have plenty of room. I also found this has some wind proof properties.
I like the jacket but wish it had an external breast pocket for a phone. Sizes run big. I bought a large but it was too girthy so I swapped it for a medium. I wanted a tighter fit so I could wear it under my Stio Environ ski jacket.
This is my second Pinion jacket. Love the warmth vs weight of the jacket. This jacket is not bulky and is a comfortable coat whether I am outdoors or driving in my truck. Highly recommend!
Great fit, light-weight, warm jacket. This is replacing a Patagonia jacket I've had for a while and I'm super happy with the purchase. I get compliments everywhere I go.
Good craftsmanship. A full size too big. I always buy M in almost any brand, but had to exchange this item for S, which was exactly what I expected from size medium.
This jacket performs perfectly in a variety of mild conditions, staying warm when it needs to but never overheating. I live in this jacket during the cooler months!
This is my first Stio jacket but I do have a few other things. It is very warm at 800 down and compares to a competitors 850. Will be buying the Azura next.
