• Classic curved pick works both in snow and ice
• Made from a highly durable chromoly steel and tapered for performance in dense snow and ice, it will anchor better in ice that picks made from lighter materials like aluminum
• Adze is shaped to cut hard alpine ice for clearing placements and anchors—or helping to clear a bivy ledge
• Aircraft-grade aluminum shaft is curved slightly to help clear undulating terrain
• Lower grip is enhanced for additional friction while climbing
• Compatible with both the BLUE ICE Sliding Pommel and Tech Pommel grips (not included)
• Pommels can be placed in multiple positions, such as at the bottom to enhance your grip support for vertical terrain
• Place the pommel above the lower grip to matching hands in mixed terrain
• Or place the pommel a hand's width below the head to move comfortably over long, lower angle terrain
• Bevel-cut angle of the lower shaft allows for purchase in snow, while a nylon insert keeps snow from accumulating inside the handle
• Length is ideal for steeper terrain yet short enough to store inside an alpine or ski pack
• It can also be slipped between your shoulder blades for quick storage and access in variable angle terrain
• Included pick and adze protectors make it easier to transport this ice axe without damaging your gear
