• A hybrid between a technical alpine climbing tool and an ultralight ice axe, this tool provides the full functionality of a type 1 ice axe
• Easily sticks in ice while weighing a mere 330 g
• The head is made from chromoly steel, giving it the heft and rigidity needed for first sticks in ice
• Carefully designed to eliminate as much unnecessary weight as possible while keeping it fully functional in technical, mixed terrain
• Reverse curve shape and taper of the pick makes for solid placements in ice or thin cracks
• Adze is shaped to cut hard alpine ice for clearing placements and anchors—or helping to clear a bivy ledge
• Aircraft-grade aluminum shaft is bent slightly to help clear ice bulges and help protect your knuckles when swinging the tool
• The lower grip is enhanced for additional friction while climbing
• Adjustable position Tech Pommel grip (included) can be placed at the bottom for vertical terrain to enhance your grip support
• Or place the Tech Pommel at the top rivet for plunging while moving through lower angle terrain
• A stainless-steel spike at the bottom of the shaft works well when the tool is used in a classic piolet canne provide good grip in a wide variety of terrain and conditions
• Piolet canne is when the tool is held at the top, pushing downward toward the terrain
• Tool tethers can be attached to the lower spike to help prevent losing the tool while climbing
• A 49 cm in length, this axe is long enough to climb vertical, steep terrain yet short enough to store inside an alpine or ski pack
• It can also be slipped in between your shoulder blades for quick storage and access in variable angle terrain
• Pick/adze and spike protectors are included, making it easier to transport the ice axe without damaging your gear
