Great comfort and stability!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are really comfy. I can say these are very stable and good looking shoes. The ankle gets well supported, and they are comfortable and flexible. You wouldn’t think they are that flexible by having a look to them while in your hands.
Cool and useful
Recommended for everyone this shoes are comfortable and useful.
Nice enough shoe that's limited by a design flaw
These shoes are comfortable, with good cushioning and ample space in the toe box. I have two issues with them though that will probably keep me from buying another pair. First, the tongue is oddly a little bit short for where the last eyelets are located and where the laces sit when tied. The laces keep wanting to slide over the top of the tongue and rest against the top of my ankle, which then messes up how secure the fit is because the laces aren't tight anymore. I have to tie the laces tigher than I'd otherwise like to keep my heel from sliding around because the laces won't stay in one place. Speaking of the laces, they're made of extremly smooth material that refuses to stay tied. Double knotting fixes the issue (and I suppose I could always just buy new laces), but I shouldn't have to.
Wear and work well - except for shoelaces
These are durable, comfortable, and very functional. My big complaint is that the shoelaces don't stay tied even half the day, and they're too short to double-knot. Will REI please tell Columbia to supply shoelaces that stay tied all day?
Great but improve outsole
I have been searching for the right shoes for some time. I have found the nimble, Konos, and Thrive to work well. They are comfortable and yet supportive. The one thing I would like Columbia to do is to improve the durability of the outsoles for each of these shoes. They are a bit soft and wear quickly, long before the shoe itself needs to be replaced. I have also tried Merrell, Keen, Danner etc all which have a much more durable outsole. Thank you for making a very comfortable, but please improve the durability of the outsole.
Excellent quality and value
I really like these shoes. They run true to size for me and are very comfortable. Quality materials and construction combined with performance features such as being waterproof and breathable. Style is an excellent cross between casual and active.
Comfortable shoe
Ordered on line and the shoes were great. Very comfortable. Very good traction - does tend to hold the dirt and leaves in the tread so stomp your feet to clear them off before going indoors. Nice looking and a good value for the price.
Once Broken in Likely 5/5
A smidge on the narrower in the toe box. I'm hoping it breaks in a little and then it will fit like a glove.
Good value, quite comfortable
I got these to wear on my daily walk and just general daily wear. So far they have been very comfortable. I didn’t want to spend the $150+ that shoes seem to cost now so thought I would give them a try. I’ve only had them about a month so can’t speak to the long term durability but seem to be well made. I probably wouldn’t use them on rough terrain but seem fine for walking, light hiking. I’m thinking I should have got another pair while they were on sale.
I’m very picky but these are very goog
I received my shoes by USPS today, delivered in good condition. The color, tundra/black is a darker mocha color than shown and the midsole is a gray rather than creme color, both of which are very nice. The insoles have approx 4-5mm drop (in my estimation) and the perfect amount of cushion. One review mentions a potential issue with the tongue being too short compared to the position of the upper eyelets. I agree with this observation. By trying a common lacing pattern that runners use at the top eyelets it easily solved this problem. Finally the fit was perfect for length. I usually get “wide” shoes in golf shoes but noted that these shoe ran wide for several customers. These shoes are snug with athletic socks but because they are leather, I am confident that as the insoles break in and the uppers stretch a bit, they will be perfect. The stitching and glueing appear perfect.
