Very nice top

Not your normal crater lake top. I have the regular crater lake top that is thinner and what I consider a sun related top for the climb up on our local glaciated mountains and snow fields. This heavyweight top is thicker and something I would wear as an insulating layer, or shoulder season top where sun protection really isn’t that important, but just needing a bit of warmth is. I would highly recommend this top for anyone looking for a warmer top than the standard sun protection tops.

Great baselayer for folks who run hot

Interesting baselayer sort of sun protection. Works great for folks like me who run hot and only want a thin layer that still breaths well. It’s an excellent baselayer under a shell if you run hot. Breaths super well so if you have pit zips and need to dump heat this will shed the heat really well. It is fitted like a baselayer so it runs tight.

Awsome shoulder season sun protection

I spend a lot of time bikepacking in sun exposed areas and the Heavyweight Crater Lake Hoody is perfect for California's coastal shoulder season when the temps are a little on the cool side in the mornings. Warm, breathable, feels good on the skin and has the sun protection I need.
