I am so glad I bought the Pacaya jacket in the blue color. I ordered a size Medium for my husband who is 6 feet - 185lbs and the fit is spot on—roomy enough to feel comfortable but tailored enough that it doesn't look baggy. What really stands out is the overall feel and weightlessness of the jacket. It is incredibly light, making it perfect for packing down or wearing on those days when you just need a light layer without the heavy bulk of a traditional jacket. The material feels high-quality and soft against the skin. Plus, the vibrant blue color really pops. It's easily one of the most comfortable lightweight jackets I've ever owned!
I’ve been wearing the Pacaya 2. 0 Insulated Hooded Jacket for a while now, and it has quickly become my go-to piece. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly comfortable it is—the material is soft and offers great mobility. It provides the perfect amount of warmth without feeling bulky, making it ideal for both outdoor activities and casual daily wear. If you're looking for a versatile, high-quality jacket that feels as good as it looks, this is definitely it!
I wanted to like this jacket. It is warm and comfortable, but everyday wear for a week has already caused a tear. Not durable at all unfortunately. Hopefully Cotopaxi stands by their warranty and makes it right.
This jacket is great for casual wear for a hike in the city but its got some issues. Pros: 1. Great color. Love the yellow. 2. Lightweight and packable. 3. In spite of being lightweight it keeps you very warm. I was getting too hot hiking in sub 60F temperatures. 4. Water resistance is better than expected. I did better than expected walking in light showers. Cons: 1. The jacket sheds a lot through the seams/stitching. That wool + polyester insulation is dark green blue and it clings on to your shirt, I took of my jacket to have lunch at a crowded restaurant and did not realize how much of it clung to my shirt until I got home. 2. It got too hot, and if I unzip it wasn't warm enough. I couldn't find the right balance. 3. The ventilation at pits is not great while the material does wick out the sweat away from the body, the jacket got pretty wet in the armpits and the jacket starts to smell. Pit zips would have been great but I know I am asking a lot at this price point. Overall It feels like choices were made to prioritize warmth over breathability. If you sweat a lot this may not be for you, but for casual stroll or for people who don't sweat much - this might be fine.
was enticed to buy this jacket from seeing that Outside Magazine reviewers rated it the Best Insulated Jacket for Nordic Skiing. I'm a longtime xc skier (still dabble in racing), know how to layer for xc skiing, and wanted to love this jacket (like the fit and look). But after wearing it 3 times I'm disappointed in the breathability. Skiing in temps in the upper teens and lower 20's, I started off cold (I think it could block cold wind better) and as soon as I warm up (skiing hard), moisture starts accumulating inside the jacket (especially in the sleeves). After stopping I cool off very quickly in the wet jacket. I will still use for casual wear but will be looking for another jacket that is better suited for vigorous exercise.
Lightweight, warm, soft and breathable, great middle layer under a shell as well. I own a hooded one as well. The balance of fabrics, wear to allow airflow really makes it a go to for anything where activity could arise, and the brown collared version is perfect for the office and for the trail on the way home.
we bought this for a friend who travels a lot. It will serve both to keep the cold out and be a lighter jacket that he can pack away for when it is not cold or rainy. It’s a wonderful light item that anybody would be happy to have along on their travels and in every day tooi’m
Excellent jacket—lightweight, warm, and incredibly comfortable. It’s breathable, fits perfectly, and layers easily without feeling bulky. Stylish, well-made, and versatile enough for everyday wear or getting outdoors. Highly recommend.
Beautiful color and so soft and comfortable. Perfect for cool days when it’s colder in the morning but warms up during the day before it gets cold at night again. I think I could sleep in this jacket. Great for the price.
It is. . . STUNNING. Quality is great, fit is fantastic, and it looks beautiful. The material seems good and it's not super bulky, which I love. It fits perfectly and seems true to size. I highly recommend it!"
