Great shoes for the first 3 walks, however after doing approximately 18 miles the goretex, failed and I ended up with wet feet in both shoes, I paid top money ready for the wet grass as the winter has now nearly arrived, disappointed they failed so quick, they only let in a little water but it was enough to soak my feet and turn them cold
The name says it all, NEW BALANCE—if you want to have the perfect balance, you just have to walk in these HIERRO sneakers. They’re the best! I bought them for my husband, and he’s very happy with his gift.
Fantastic shoe. Very comfortable. Solid base. Great color. Very happy with the purchase
My biggest issue is that I have a high instep and the sewn down tongue causes uncomfortable pressure and an ill fit. They really should specify in the product description whether the tongue is stitched like this so people like me can choose another model. Better, stop doing it!!! It causes as many problems as it potentially solves. I’ve previously bought the non Goretex version of this shoe and found it very comfortable. The sole both on this and the previous model tends to make some noise on non trail surfaces that may annoy people.
My first ever pair of trail runners. Broke them in and used them to run/climb Pico Duarte in the Dominican Republic. They were super giving me spring, firm grip on wet rocks and no blisters during the 10,000 foot elevation run/climb. They dried very fast. I have noticed a tiny separation of the sole from the sneaker which I am keeping an eye on to see if I am needing to fix them.
I have a size 17 foot. This shoe feels like it has a size 15 toe area. Very narrow and raised up off the ground. Very weird. The heel also is rounded off and very very uncomfortable. So congratulations new balance on designing narrow nasty uncomfortable shoes
These shoes have absolutely helped me with a previous Achilles surgery I’ve had by taking stress off with the soft soles. I’m very happy with the investment and would highly recommend buying them for an easier time on the feet!
I think they are rather tighter than NB shoes are normally. Presumably partly to keep the waterproofing as tight as possible. If I’d been in a shop and tried the next size up I suspect I might have gone that way.
I really like this shoe. I do wish it had more of the feel of an 880, but those dont come as trail runners. This still works solid, and styling is pretty cool.
I like the style of the shoe, but it's a little tight (and I'm wearing a 2E). This is an issue I've had with a previous model.
