GoreTex but not waterproof

Be aware and do some research! Great fit and grip for trails and 'off road' BUT they are not waterproof, as stated. I have the v8 GoreTex model which allows moisture in to the toe box area, even with light use on wet grass with no rain. Having had a very friendly chat with NB about this, their advice is: "All our Goretex products have Goretex parts to guarantee the product's breathability, lightness, and water resistance, however, they are not 100% waterproof" Also: "Breathability is only possible because the item is not 100% waterproof. The item contains Goretex technology that makes them waterproof in some areas, for example the shoe lace area does not contain Goretex."

Great shoes for the first 3 walks, however after doing approximately 18 miles the goretex, failed and I ended up with wet feet in both shoes, I paid top money ready for the wet grass as the winter has now nearly arrived, disappointed they failed so quick, they only let in a little water but it was enough to soak my feet and turn them cold

The name says it all, NEW BALANCE—if you want to have the perfect balance, you just have to walk in these HIERRO sneakers. They’re the best! I bought them for my husband, and he’s very happy with his gift.

I think they are rather tighter than NB shoes are normally. Presumably partly to keep the waterproofing as tight as possible. If I’d been in a shop and tried the next size up I suspect I might have gone that way.

These shoes have absolutely helped me with a previous Achilles surgery I’ve had by taking stress off with the soft soles. I’m very happy with the investment and would highly recommend buying them for an easier time on the feet!

I really like this shoe. I do wish it had more of the feel of an 880, but those dont come as trail runners. This still works solid, and styling is pretty cool.
