Great shoe after a knee replacement!!
I bought these shoes several weeks ago for my recovery post partial knee replacement. I usually wear Birkenstocks for everyday shoes but I wanted something with a back so I’d not slip out of them, slip on, and with good traction. These have been perfect. I did add an orthotic insert which helped with cushioning. That would be my only complaint and I’d prefer a better insole but the one I put in made them perfect. I’m 3 weeks out from surgery and back at work, driving, and can walk 2 miles easily (I was a marathoner!). I really think these shoes have helped my recovery. I hope the other colours go on sale soon!
Soft, Cozy, Comfy :)
I'm in love with these shoes. I wanted a warmer zero drop, barefoot type shoe for winter and these are cozy and perfect. I was concerned by other comments saying the soles are slippery. I have not found this to be the case at all. I have been intentionally testing them while wet and on both bare and polished concrete as well as polished commercial tile flooring and they have just not been slippery at all for me. I also do not feel they run excessively narrow. I did size up my usual 1/2. I'm sz 9.5 and usually size up to a 10 anyway to allow for thicker socks. They fit as I expected.
Great Barefoot Slip On
I purchased the Wrapt Slip On in Black for work bc I needed a shoe that was more business appropriate for my job. They are very comfortable. They provide the correct support I need in a barefoot shoe and still have the same floor grip I need to maintain my gait stability when walking without cane. I have always wore Merrell barefoot sneakers since 2012. I started wearing the barefoot 7 sneakers in Summer of 2023 bc I had to have bilateral meniscus surgery. Then in 2024, after I had my bilateral knee replacements, I continued to wear the barefoot 7 sneakers postop and during OP physical therapy. I still wear my Merrell barefoot sneakers daily. Now, I’ll be sporting my new Wrapt Slip Ons when I am at the office or want wear a dresser barefoot shoe for going out for dinner.
Where can I find Merrells just like my old ones?
I have worn Merrells for over 20 years! I have worn out only 2 pairs that were absolutely wonderful. The new pair that I have received is not comfortable because the top fabric is not as soft as my former Merrells, and the right foot front top hurts the top of my right foot. I am trying to stretch it hoping that will help. I absolutely love my older pair and would like to have another pair just like them...soft top fabric, no pressure to the top of my right foot, a softer sole, and closed back.
Little problems for me
I like them, and they are "zero drop" like I need. Unfortunately, one of my feet seems to be shorter and with the lovely big toe box moves forward. This then puts the arch support at the wrong place on my food. I have put 2 additional innersoles, which has helped somewhat, but a person yesterday suggested hikers/dancers wool in the toe. I'll see if that's better. Also that nice black pigskin has been a little hard to keep in the winter ice and salt. I would appreciate suggestions for that.
Slip on
Love the colour and quality is very good. Normally a size 5 fits me perfectly but this slip on is just a tiny bit short in the toe for my foot. I ordered both a 5 and 5 1/2. The size 5 1/2 was too big.
I hope these are the new version
I just bought these because I love my Barefoot Suede Jungle Mocs from long ago. I have two pairs of those and I mourn that Merrell discontinued these minimalist slip ons... Hopefully these Wrapt slip ons will fit the bill. I barely wear my older ones, as I love them and cannot replace them (Vibram outsoles!) Whenever I think about wearing them, it has to be a perfect day for I do not ever want to destroy them, in rain, snow or whatever. Loved the Merrell Barefoot Jungle Mocs.
FABULOUS SHOE
LOVE this shoe!! Wear it everyday. I needed a comfortable show to wear in the house. Slippers don’t have the support I need. This is fabulous. Great support. Easy on. Easy off. Love it so much, I want to wear it outside, so I just bought a second pair, different color to keep wearing inside. Just a great shoe. And very easy to clean off the treads when coming in from walking in the garden and getting mulch or stuff struck. ❤️
Disappointed in Jungle Moc
These were a requested Christmas gift. The ones I already have are very comfortable, however they are not suede but a nylon type material. I was expecting the same shoe, not the suede. The size 8, my normal size, was so tight fitting I could not have worn socks with them. I was disappointed and had them returned. They seemed to be a very good shoe, just not what I wanted.
I was very disappointed in their comfort.
I wore my new shoes for 12 hours total before having the worst sore feet on my arches. I put them away. I tried them again.walked through the parking lot in the snow literally 20 feet & the suede came off the tops. I reached out to try to return them and was told they would never accept a pair of worn shoes. I thought Merrell had a better reputation than this.
