Smartwool  Classic Thermal Merino Colorblock Crew Base Layer Top - Women's

I've been downhill skiing for 52 years and I can't tell you how excited I am to own this base layer. It's warm, soft and comfortable. The perk is that it is a unique design with awesome colors. I've gotten so many compliments on it. It's a perfect blend of style and comfort ! And it is cut in the most flattering style. It is fitted without being tight. The material has some give but stays close to your body. It also has a slight flare at the bottom. . . so it's long enough to come down to mid hip. Perfect for apres ski with some leggings. Definitely functional and fashionable. Smartwool does it again. A must buy.

I loved this shirt (Twilight blue colorblock) so much that I came back and grabbed the black/grey color block too. Here's the thing… it fits much more snug than the Twilight blue colorblock… so much difference in fit that I had to look and confirm that I had ordered the same size. Why the difference Smartwool? I didn't return it because snug is better as a base layer, but the awesome thing about these color blocks are how cute they are as standalone shirts and the black one is just a bit to snug for that :(

Most Smartwool layers have a basic, straight fit, but this one has some nice curves to it

I really enjoy wearing this base layer. I am typically cold all the time, however this product gives me an extra, quality layer or warmth and the colors are quite beautiful too. I have been wearing this non stop since getting it. It is a soft, non irritating texture. I like layering it under tee shirts indoors in cold weather, and I only need a jacket over the top on chilly walks outside. I plan on taking it up to Alaska with me this spring.

I don't know how Smartwool does it, but the merino wool base layers are the only wool product I have every worn that does not feel itchy. That is the main reason I love this top. Now - about the style . . . I just adore the colors and patterns of this top. it goes with almost anything and is flattering, cute, and colorful! I am 5'5, 145 lbs, and this size large top fits me perfectly as I like a little roominess.

I got the teal, gray and black color and it is a beautiful color arrangement. I wear a small and most reviews said it ran big so I got an extra small and it is TIGHT. When I looked again they had no smalls left so I ordered a medium and it was too big. I love the shirt so much that I am keeping the extra small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I love this shirt. I have an older version in a solid color, but aesthetically I like this one way more. I guide rock climbing, backpacking, and caving, and this shirt has been great for all three. The torso length kept me covered while crawling around different caves, while also keeping me warm despite being covered in mud and sweat. I am 5'4 and about 145-150lbs and this shirt fits close to skin but not snug. If you want a baggier fit, it might be worth sizing up, although the stitching and color pattern is very flattering. The one thing I noticed is that it felt just a bit itchy on the first wear compared to other base layers I have from other brands, but I didn't notice it after a few minutes. In terms of odor resistance, it's significantly better than polyester or other synthetics, but at the end of the day if you're gonna sweat, you're probably gonna snap a little. Overall this is great solid base layer, and I'd take it on any trip I go on. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Cant wait for the snow to come to wear this out backcountry skiing, or even cold sledding days. It has been great to layer under my vest while running. Or under my jacket while out for a hike. Very happy with the thickness and warmth.

This has become my favorite base layer! This winter I have been wearing it for everything from skiing to running. It also looks cute if I just throw on a pair of jeans with it for apres ski!

Bought for winter sports and daily walks when it gets cold. Love the weight, quality and softness of this base layer. The colors work well together. Bring on the cold, Minnesota!
