Nice wool sweater
Very nice midweight sweater, the waffle pattern gives it a little bit of a chunky feel. Thick collar is a standout feature. Stitching is nicely done, no flaws or loose threads to be seen. Fit is perfect, I'm 6'2" 165lbs and wear a medium in brands like patagonia, jcrew, rei house brand, mountain hardwear and this sweater fits true to size. Loose enough to wear a base layer or thin shirt underneath. Description says its merino wool but feels like regular wool, don't expect it to feel like a soft merino base layer.
Ovik Waffle Knit
I bought this sweater about 6 months ago and wore it plenty through the winter. It's made extremely well, and is quite warm. When I purchased it, it was listed as Merino wool, but it no longer is. It definitely doesn't have the softness that you would expect of Merino. If you have sensitive skin, I suggest wearing a long sleeve t shirt underneath. I find myself getting used to the scratchiness after a few minutes of wear with a shirt sleeve t shirt on underneath. Sizing-wise, I'm 5' 10", 165 lbs, and a size small fits perfectly for a relaxed fit. A medium would be much too large. The sizing guide pointed me towards a small, so I would say it's true to size.
Old school heaviness keeps you warm.
Waited a long time for the large to be in stock. Worth every penny. I love the heaviness of this sweater, with the old fashion knitted appeal. Its not winter yet, but trying it on made me feel quite confident that it will keep me cozy warm. The only thing I'd warn you about , is like the wool sweaters from the 70's , don't snag it on anything, and be careful how you wash it. Although, speaking to some old lady friends of mine , they say don't wash wool. You spot wash where needed with water, and maybe a brush for any hairs that get weaved in there?

I’ve had this sweater for about 2 weeks now. It’s thick, warm, and I can imagine it’ll perform spectacularly as a mid layer when the deep cold sets in! This has become my favorite sweater (and I have a thing for sweaters) and I’ve worn it almost every day since it came in. I am 6’1”, 190lbs of muscle brick house and a size L is maybe a little bigger than I’d prefer.
Warm and Cozy Waffles
Loving the Övik Waffle Knit sweater, it's warm and cozy but breathable - like all good wool sweaters should be. Looks great too, I'm 6' broad shouldered and the medium fits just right, not too loose nor too tight. Will be enjoying it through the winter.
