DO NOT BUY!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I went skiing once and the pants ripped above my boot. Marmot will not cover this with their warranty. It is evident that the material is poor quality and not meant for snow sports. Save your money and buy something else.

Comfortable!

Recently outfitting myself with new gear for backcountry, and snowboarding pants are so tight these days…why? I went through several attempts at finding a comfy, stylish pair from other outfitters, but by now I know I should just go to REI! #1, I am fit, I have muscles, and these pants fit perfectly. 120lbs, small waist, not-so-narrow butt. The XS fit great, the S was good too, but my chest is like an A34 at best, so although I could do karate kicks fluidly in the S, the XS gave me less chest gaping. #2, the bathroom factor. There is a long zipper down tie right side - I don’t have to take everything off to ‘go.’ That is kind of important, no?? #3, the colour. Sunsets on the Baja, in Joshua Tree, or somewhere where a glowing sky of warm peach/orange/soft rust tone is. Beautiful. #4, warmth. These aren’t going to make you boil, it has layers, but they aren’t just a shell. I don’t like being on the mountain wearing multiple layers, ugh, so hard to not get a tummy ache with all those waistbands. I like to wear a bit more of a layer with my bibs and less-so underneath. The less elastic waists the better. I just really like these bibs a lot. The fabric is really soft, too. Great pockets. I tried 3 pairs of bibs - these were my fourth and I love them.
