Exterior covering does not hold up to routine travel...I

I travel extensively for work and have for more than 30 years. I purchased the Transporter 65 last year and each of the three overseas trips I have taken with it, there have been new abraded spots in the covering and twice accompanied by small tears. I normally expect to get 5 years or more out of a travel bag. This one clearly is not up to the rigors of baggage handlers.... Also, the lack of a shoulder strap is an oversight on the part of the designers...

A must for the ACTIVE traveler

Vacationing in the outdoors can post challenges to packing, especially when there are multiple activities involved. Being an avid hiker and mountain biker I need bags that hold up and can fit my gear - enter the Osprey Transporter series. My oldest T65 is about 7 years old and still going strong. I purchased a newer version about 3 years ago for my wife and acquired a 3rd this year for my daughter. Again, our vacations require simple gear storage that's portable and that's what you get with these packs. Hauling from campsite to campsite is easy and when on the road the Transporter can be slung over the shoulders for transport from car to hotel. Best luggage I've bought to date.

Osprey Transporter Duffle 65 – The Perfect Travel

I recently took the Osprey Transporter Duffle 65 on a month-long trip to Africa, and it exceeded every expectation. This bag was the perfect balance of durability, functionality, and ease of transport. Despite taking six flights, I was able to carry it on and stow it under my seat every time—a huge win for avoiding baggage fees and the hassle of checked luggage. The 65L capacity was perfect for my needs, especially when paired with three packing cubes, which fit perfectly inside. This setup made getting through Customs a breeze, and more than one agent even commented on how efficient and organized it was. Being able to quickly locate and scan specific items saved time and stress at security checkpoints. The comfortable, easily adjustable backpack straps were another highlight. Whether dashing through airports or navigating city streets, carrying the bag was a breeze. Even after 37 days of constant use, including flights, transfers, and rugged conditions, the Transporter Duffle still looks brand new—a testament to Osprey’s outstanding build quality. If you're looking for a reliable, versatile, and carry-on-friendly duffle for extended travel, the Osprey Transporter 65 is an absolute winner. Highly recommended!

Well Constructed Backpack/Duffle Carry-On

Just what I was looking for! I needed the largest "Airline Overhead Compartment Compatible" back with backpack straps and a really durable weatherproof construction to take mountain biking and sailing this summer. I haven't tested in in heavy rain but it should be good. It was perfectly comfortable to wear walking around 2 airports and held everything I needed and more. I plan to get some compression packing cubes to help organize inside, but I like that It has just one compartment so I can adapt it for the gear I use in different sports.

I’m in the middle of

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m in the middle of my third trip with this bag since purchasing it and it is a great travel bag. Kind of like Goldilocks story, it’s the perfect size, not too big or too small. The shoulder straps were great, are comfortable and pack away easily. The main compartment zipper door stays open when wanted and makes it easy to search for gear in the bag. Go get yours.

perfect size and super tough

I have used this bag so many times, but it stood out during two international mission trips I've gone on. Both were about a week long, and this bag was the perfect size for everything I needed and some extras. It's still in amazing condition after two years of use, and it seems as though it will last forever.

I bought it as a check in luggage bag for my flight. The capacity is amazing that I could put lots of things. I was worried that there might be some scratches on it after being through the flight as it was new, eventually it was not scratched and remained like a new one. Very durable and useful

Sturdy and good looking

Sturdy! Good size for small aircraft luggage space. The option to carry as a backpack is comfortable as the straps are padded. Worked well!
