If, like me, you were a fan of the Arc’teryx Atom LT, this is a worthy successor. Extremely similar in design and feel, the Vesper seems a touch more durable. The hood could be larger but I don mind the zippers. I do wish it had an interior chest pocket. I went into the store planning to buy a new Atom, but I came home with this and I am glad I found it. This jacket is more like the old Atom LT than the new Atom. I have the Atlantic colorway, which is much more gray in person than the pictures on this site. I think it looks much better in person.
Outstanding midweight jacket. Keeps me warm from 60 down to about 40. I love how small it packs up, and it looks professional enough to wear at work and on the trail. 6'3 200 and a large is perfect, enough room to throw a baselayer and a mid underneath if its below 40.
I was looking for a jackets that was light weight, brought some warms to it, and stretchy. This jacket did it all. The was great. The back center and a large stretch panels and the arm pits have a lessser dens loft making it super easy to move around in this jacket. The loft in the front and back that’s not the stretch panels is warm and blocks the wind. I had a Patagonia nano puff and in my opinion, this jackets is better.
