Great Product, just 1 gotcha.
So far I like the mirror very much! The thing you need to remember obviously is that if you have to lay your bicycle down on its side in a car or something or on the ground be sure to fold the mirror up and out of the way before you do so or it is very likely to pop off and get lost. Not picking on this particular mirror, I suspect that this is the case with many or most mirrors. I try never to lie my bike down, but there are times when it is unavoidable as when I had to borrow a friends hatchback. The field of vision is smaller than I am used to but it is a trade off for having a more aero and less obtrusive mirror. Solidly built, good quality.
Easy installation and strongly made.
Great bar-end mirror from the makers of Spurcycle bells ... easy to install and large enough to actually see behind me without having to wiggle around. I had their R-35 mirror previously, and while built the same, the smaller size made it more difficult to use.
failure on all levels
I tried mounting this on a mountain bike and on a road bike. It doesn’t work for either. It doesn’t stick out enough on a road bike for you to see behind you. On a mountain bike with flat handlebars it doesn’t have the flexibility to move the mirror so you can see behind you. Don’t buy this.
Improve situational awareness
While it might not be the sexiest looking bar mirror, it captures a large amount of rear landscape and truly beats any helmet mirror since the latter is useless unless you're looking straight ahead. Tilt your head down when using your drops and a helmet mirror shows the clouds!
Works Perfectly
Easy to install and adjust. Takes some getting use to, but exactly what I was looking for.
