Warm Wicking Layer
Purchased for use as a mid-layer under a shell. Fits this purpose perfectly–wicks moisture while maintaining warmth under a shell. On it's own is also very warm and comfortable depending on the other layer(s) that you wear. The sleeves are longer than need be, and the fit is slightly big. Also the nature of the fabric can grab under layers making it awkward to put the jacket on, i.e., you'll need to grab the cuff of your undershirt as you put your arm through the sleeve. Not a big deal though. Overall, a great product.
Love the Power Grid Full Zip Hoody
The hoody is comfortable and is good to wear by itself or as a layer under a coat. I did however find what appeared to be a used set of light brown foam earplugs in the chest pocket and the hoody itself didn't have a "new" smell to it. It did come in a sealed plastic bag though. I responded to the order email asking about the earplugs as well as sent a message on instagram with pictures of the earplugs and never received a response.
Love this thing.
Man, this thing is awesome. Perfect temperature range for what I was hoping for and a lot more comfortable than I was expecting. Recently had it on for the first leg of a 14 mile day hike and it reduced the amount of layer changing on the hike to zero. Little tight on the forearms, but not noticable if you're just wearing a base under it. Would wear it non stop if I wasn't a slob.
Great improvement
I love this item. I had a previous grid fleece from them a couple years ago that was much lower quality. The most frustrating thing I’ve had from other mountain hardwear jackets are cheap zippers but this one is good quality. My only complaint would be that I wish they also offered it in a non-hooded version. I’m 5’11 / 190 lbs and a medium fit well.
Great Layer for Multiple Uses
The zip hoody is my first, but fits well, looks great and works great as a base layer or with a tshirt on a cool day. Mountain Hardwear makes a quality products and this is one more. FYI, it's a lot brighter of a blue than the images. But, that's okay.
Looks good, and perfect for hiking in variable con
Super functional, finally found a do it all tech fleece. Looks good too (I am 5’8” 145 lbs and got small). Pretty warm, breathes well, blocks some wind. Decent outer layer in cool conditions, and works well as a cozy under layer with a jacket.
Pretty good
On the one hand this seems pretty high quality, functional, and fits me well as a skinny guy. On the other I wish they would go back to offering more subtle or better yet no branding options.
Men’s polartec size large
I’m 6’1, 185 and a large fits nice. Slightly on the loose side under the arms but a good fit everywhere else. Since this is a layering piece it’s nice to have the extra movement.
Perfect layering component!
I'm very happy with this layer! I'm sold on the grid technology and will be worn or in my pack on every shoulder season trip in the future. Perfect fit.
Good performance
Very warm for how light out is. I got this to replace bulkier fleece mid layers and it performed very well even in wet conditions.
