This is a great mid-weight jacket. The product description says "ultra-versatile" and I agree 100%. I've worn it hiking, skiing, and neighborhood dog walking and it's perfect for just about anything. I wore it resort skiing on a day that turned colder than anticipated and I was somewhat surprised at the warmth of the jacket. The fit is very flattering. I got the Moonstone color and it is a perfect neutral, going great with just about any other color. It takes on a bit more gray or a bit more brown depending on what you pair it with. I'm 5'5''/125 and the small fits perfect. Thanks BD for a wonderful jacket that I really love wearing!
I really loved having this coat/hoodie. It was perfect for an Alaskan cruise I recently went on. It was packable, soft and key point - it was very warm and kept the wind off my neck and out of my ears! It wasn't bulky at all so a great layering item and I really like that I could pack it down so small. Great quality, wonderful fit and very reasonably priced. I would recommend it and buy it again.
I purchased the yellow gold color of this jacket for winter, looking for a new insulated layer. It was too thick to be worn as a layer, IMO. Would be a fine stand alone jacket for early winter days, but I wasn't looking for that sort of piece. I also thought the yellow was a bit more drab in color than I wanted. Overall it is a nice jacket, but I have better options in my closet already.
I have the Solution 2. 0 jacket and now the hoody. They are the perfect layer for me, as I tend to run cold. I’m mor of a “function over fashion” kind of gal, but the cut is very nice and less boxy than most insulated layers. The length is perfect and my midsection is still covered when I reach, as well as the arm length protecting my wrists in the same way. My favorite touches are the smooth elastic on the wrists and the soft lining in the pockets. I also have Reynaud’s, so softness on my hands is appreciated. I ran a spreadsheet of all possible midlayers across 14 companies and this one came out as the best option for warmth to weight ratio, fill weight in arms/body, and durable outer fabric. I am 5’ 7” and 134lbs - the Medium fits well, a bit roomy, which is preferred over being too fitted. Mostly using for hiking/backpacking as an outer layer and will use this winter as a midlayer under a shell.
Nice jacket. Good materials and construction. I am between a M and a L. Aside from chest measurements, I am a medium---glad I got the large. Even that is snug, so be aware if you want to layer. I'm quite short, so some petite sizing would be nice along with some sizing for larger bodies
Super gorgeous cut, fits comfortably but also makes you look sleek, warm and fluffy and working out great in my layering system.
Nice mid weight hoody for backcountry skiing, etc. Runs big, at 5’6” / 140 I should have gotten a small vs medium.
